This is an opportunity for a technically experienced tooling professional to take ownership of customer programs, work directly with engineering and manufacturing teams, and play a key role in delivering successful injection mold tooling projects.

We welcome applications from experienced Tooling Program Managers, as well as Mold Designers and Tooling Engineers who have strong project coordination skills and are ready to advance into Program Management.

Direct Program Manager experience is an asset, but a strong understanding of injection mold tooling and the ability to coordinate technical projects are equally important.

The Role

You'll manage customer tooling programs from initial kickoff through design, manufacturing, and final approval. Working closely with customers, engineering, machining, and production teams, you'll be responsible for keeping programs on schedule, addressing technical challenges, and ensuring delivery commitments are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of assigned injection mold tooling programs, managing schedules, milestones, technical issues, and delivery commitments.
  • Coordinate activities across Mold Design, Engineering, CNC Machining, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Quality.
  • Act as a primary customer contact, providing updates on program progress, timing, technical issues, and engineering changes.
  • Identify potential delays, manufacturing challenges, and resource constraints, working proactively with internal teams to resolve them.
  • Monitor program budgets, costs, and scheduling concerns, escalating issues when appropriate.
  • Coordinate engineering changes, scope adjustments, quotations, and additional customer requirements.
  • Lead internal program reviews and maintain accurate project documentation.

What We're Looking For

  • Approximately 5+ years of relevant experience in plastic injection mold tooling, mold design, tooling engineering, or related manufacturing.
  • Strong practical understanding of injection mold design and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience coordinating technical projects, manufacturing schedules, customer requirements, or tooling programs.
  • Ability to understand technical challenges and work effectively with engineering, design, and shop-floor teams.
  • Strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Clear, professional communication skills and confidence interacting directly with customers.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and computerized business or project management systems.
  • Valid driver's licence and passport.

Additional Assets

  • Direct experience managing injection mold or automotive tooling programs.
  • Background in mold design, machining, tooling engineering, or manufacturing operations.
  • Experience with program budgets, cost tracking, estimating, or engineering change costing.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, project scheduling tools, VISI, or Cimatron.
  • Relevant technical diploma, degree, or project management training.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $100,000-$115,000 annual base salary, with flexibility for highly qualified candidates.
  • Annual bonus opportunity.
  • Employee benefits program.
  • RRSP program, subject to eligibility.
  • Vacation arrangements based on experience and company policy.
  • Permanent, full-time employment with an established tooling manufacturer.
  • Opportunity to take ownership of customer programs and continue developing professionally.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, on-site position in Oldcastle, Ontario, involving regular collaboration with engineering, design, manufacturing, and customer teams. Occasional customer visits and travel may be required.
