What role you will play on our team

We are seeking an experienced and strategically minded Canada Fuels Products Advisor to lead the development, implementation, and optimization of fuels programs across Canada. Reporting to the North America Product and Commercial Programs Manager, this role will play a critical part in driving the success of our fuels portfolio, enhancing customer value propositions, and supporting long-term business growth. The ideal candidate is a highly collaborative commercial leader with deep expertise in fuels, product management, marketing, or related industries. You are comfortable managing complex projects, influencing senior stakeholders, evaluating market opportunities, and bringing innovative solutions from concept through execution.This position is located in Edmonton, Alberta.

What you will do

Fuels Product Strategy & Program Development

Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing management of fuels programs aligned with regional and global business strategies.
Champion fuels development projects through stage-gate processes, securing stakeholder alignment and executive support.
Identify, evaluate, and validate new product and program opportunities within the Canadian market.
Support the development and execution of premium fuels and other strategic product offerings.
Develop and manage pilot programs to test innovative concepts and support future product strategy.

Project Management & Execution

Manage all aspects of project planning, execution, budgeting, scheduling, risk assessment, and performance tracking.
Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure successful program implementation.
Monitor program performance and recommend improvements to optimize customer value and commercial outcomes.
Deliver regular project updates and recommendations to leadership and key stakeholders.

Market Intelligence & Insights

Analyze consumer, product, competitive, industry, and technology trends to identify opportunities and gaps in the current product portfolio.
Synthesize market intelligence into actionable recommendations that support strategic decision-making.
Track program effectiveness and market performance to ensure sustained competitiveness.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communications

Collaborate with sales, marketing, communications, supply chain, analytics, legal, and external agency partners.
Support marketing and promotional initiatives related to fuels products and site image programs.
Develop effective rollout plans, training materials, and value proposition messaging for internal and external stakeholders.
Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert on biofuels and fuels product offerings.

About you

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field.
10+ years of progressive experience in fuels, product management, commercial strategy, marketing, business development, or a related industry.
Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional projects from concept to implementation.
Strong understanding of fuels products, commercial program development, and market analysis.
Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment across diverse teams.
Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience within the fuels, energy, petroleum, convenience retail, or mobility sectors.
Knowledge of biofuels, fuel regulations, and emerging energy technologies.
Experience working within a global or multi-regional organization.
Familiarity with stage-gate product development processes and commercialization programs.
