Our global network of Financial Restructuring professionals helps clients develop financial and operational strategies to improve liquidity, credit availability and shareholder return. Your key responsibilities

As a Consultant or Manager, you will be part of the restructuring team helping our clients evaluate capital options, capture greater transaction value and achieve strategic objectives - whether they are buying or selling a distressed asset, restructuring a business, dealing with underperformance or looking to improve cash management.

Skills and attributes for success

Contribute to report writing, complex valuation analyses, and detailed financial modelling.
Collaborate with client stakeholders, investment bankers, and legal counsel to gather information, communicate findings, and provide strategic recommendations.
Support acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, and other transaction-related engagements.
Conduct and synthesize research to support financial modelling, competitive and industry analysis, negotiation strategies, and other business-critical initiatives.
Prepare high-quality reports, presentations, and client deliverables, and effectively communicate key insights to stakeholders.
Present findings and recommendations clearly, concisely, and confidently to clients and internal audiences.
Demonstrate strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively under tight deadlines.
Manager:
- Provide effective leadership, coaching, and mentorship to junior team members; fostering their professional growth and development.
- Assist in the planning and execution of engagements including managing specific elements of larger projects and providing overall management for smaller engagements.

To qualify for the role you must have

Consultant:
- two to four years of experience in a professional services firm or other business environment.
Manager:
- minimum of 4 years of experience in a professional services firm or other business environment
Designated Canadian CPA.
This role involves interaction with clients operating nationally and globally. Bilingualism in both French and English is therefore a requirement of this role.
Demonstrated strengths in problem-solving, critical thinking, situational analysis, negotiation, and strategic decision-making.
Strong technical expertise in financial analysis, with the ability to evaluate complex business and transaction scenarios.
Financial modelling capabilities, including the development of integrated financial models and short-term cash flow forecasts.
Comprehensive understanding of financial statement analysis and the key drivers of business performance and value.
Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships, with a strong interest in business development and expanding professional networks.
Collaborative team player who actively contributes to business development initiatives and market-facing activities alongside colleagues and senior leadership.

Ideally, you’ll also have

Willing to enroll in the CIRP Qualification Program.
Willing to sit for the oral board examination to qualify as a Licensed Insolvency Trustee.
Embrace the uncertainty and often fluid nature of the work and will have a "roll up the sleeves" attitude and a high level of creative energy and enthusiasm.
Ability to work either autonomously or with a team on a number of simultaneous projects.
