Original job description

At EY, we’re all in to shape your future with confidence.

We’ll help you succeed in a globally connected powerhouse of diverse teams and take your career wherever you want it to go.

Join EY and help to build a better working world.

The opportunity

We are looking for a dynamic person to join our Executive Assistant Group (EAG), a team of self-motivated executive assistants (EAs) who support a portfolio of Partners within Core Business Services. Our EAs help keep EY running strong by delivering exceptional service and supporting the firm’s growth and profitability, in line with its vision of building a better working world. EY is embedding AI across all functions, including EA support.

Our EAs are driven administrative professionals who enjoy teaming with colleagues while striving to understand and anticipate needs to exceed expectations. EAG operates in a collaborative environment where assignments and priorities may evolve based on business needs.

Business support

Engagement maintenance - Support the client engagement management process, including tracking and reporting time and expenses as needed; running reports; maintaining accurate client and contact data; and playing a key role in the billing process.
Document management - Use firm brand standards to create and format letters, proposals, presentations and reports using various Microsoft tools.
Meetings and events - Coordinate virtual and in-person meetings and small events (internal and external); liaise with designated teams for larger events; manage travel using our firm's dedicated agents and travel tool; and independently manage multiple calendars.

Teaming

Participate in meetings and learning events; engage in team initiatives and projects; and provide short-term backup support for your colleagues.

Skills and attributes for success

Curiosity and openness to AI and emerging technologies, with a willingness to use new tools to enhance productivity, improve efficiency and deliver exceptional service.
Outstanding time management and organizational skills in a demanding, fast-paced environment
Strategic thinking skills combined with the ability to anticipate needs, solve problems and identify practical solutions.
Agility and flexibility in response to changing priorities, evolving business needs and changing assignments, with proactive follow-through
Strong relationship-building skills and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to leverage resources and support networks across the firm
Sound judgement regarding confidential and sensitive matters

To qualify for the role, you must have

Post-secondary education and/or relevant experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) with proven ability to learn customized software/tools
Excellent customer service skills, strong written and oral communication skills, and a proven ability to work as part of a team

What we offer

We offer a competitive compensation package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business. In addition, our Total Rewards package allows you decide which benefits are right for you and which ones help you create a solid foundation for your future. Our Total Rewards package includes a comprehensive medical, prescription drug and dental coverage, a defined contribution pension plan, a great vacation policy plus firm paid days that allow you to enjoy longer long weekends throughout the year, statutory holidays and paid personal days (based on province of residence), and a range of exciting programs and benefits designed to support your physical, financial and social well-being. Plus, we offer:

Support and coaching from some of the most engaging colleagues in the industry
Learning opportunities to develop new skills and progress your career
The freedom and flexibility to handle your role in a way that’s right for you

Diversity and Inclusion at EY

Diversity and inclusiveness are at the heart of who we are and how we work. We’re committed to fostering an environment where differences are valued, policies and practices are equitable, and our people feel a sense of belonging. From our actions to combat systemic racism and our advocacy for the LGBT+ community to our innovative Neurodiversity Centre of Excellence and Accessibility initiatives, we welcome and embrace the diverse experiences, abilities, backgrounds and perspectives that make our people unique and help guide us. Because when people feel free to be their authentic selves at work, they bring their best and are empowered to build a better working world.

If you can demonstrate that you meet the criteria above, please contact us as soon as possible.

The exceptional EY experience. It’s yours to build.
