The Position: The Network Operations Centre (NOC) Analyst will support one of F12’s largest clients at their Sherwood Park office, ensuring the stability, performance, and security of critical network and telecommunications infrastructure. Reporting to the Field Support Service Delivery Manager and receiving direction from the Supervisor, Field Communications Network Operations Centre (NOC) within the Information Services Unit (ISU), this role is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing enterprise and operational technology networks.

This position plays a key role in protecting the integrity, security, and availability of network services while supporting innovative technologies that improve operational efficiency, productivity, and customer outcomes. The successful candidate will collaborate with internal teams, field communications groups, service providers, and client stakeholders to deliver reliable network services in a fast-paced, high-availability environment.

The successful candidate will have proven experience supporting medium to large-scale enterprise networks, troubleshooting complex network issues, and maintaining telecommunications systems while providing exceptional customer service and operational support.

Responsibilities:

Participate as a key member of the NOC team responsible for network monitoring, management, upgrades, installations, documentation, and design activities.
Provide support for data transport and communications protocols including IP networking, MPLS, TCP/IP, MQTT, and serial communications.
Design, implement, document, and maintain telecommunications systems located at tower sites, pipeline facilities, and data centres.
Monitor the health, stability, availability, and performance of network infrastructure and services.
Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve network incidents and service disruptions.
Maintain accurate documentation, network diagrams, operational procedures, and technical reports.
Provide operational support to Field Communications teams and client operations as required.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including OT Field Operations, SCADA Infrastructure, Security, IT Networks, and other technology groups.
Work directly with vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure efficient delivery of network services.
Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to critical incidents outside of business hours when required.
Support network security initiatives and contribute to the protection of sensitive organizational data and systems.
Manage and troubleshoot enterprise and operational technology (OT) network environments.
Support WAN technologies including MPLS, LTE/Cellular, VSAT, and satellite communications.
Assist with the administration and maintenance of Nokia and Cisco networking platforms.
Monitor network management tools and proactively address performance concerns and capacity issues.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on network reliability, efficiency, and scalability.
Support highly secure network environments utilizing logical segmentation and layered security practices.
Analyze network trends and performance metrics to identify opportunities for enhancement and optimization.
Provide exceptional customer service while managing multiple priorities in high-pressure, low-downtime environments.
Contribute to and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace culture.

Requirements:

Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Post-secondary education from a recognized technical institution (NAIT, SAIT, BCIT, or equivalent) in Network Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.
Nokia NRS, Cisco CCNA, CCNP certification, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience supporting network operations and enterprise networking environments.
Progressive experience configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting medium to large-scale networks.
Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols including BGP, OSPF, STP, SNMP, SIP, and VRRP.
Experience supporting Nokia networking technologies including SAR, SAS, MSS, MPR, Wavence, and HM Cellular solutions.
Experience supporting Cisco networking technologies including IOS, NX-OS, and cellular networking solutions.
Experience working with Linux operating systems including Red Hat and Debian.
Working knowledge of WAN technologies including MPLS, VSAT, LTE/Cellular, and satellite communications.
Experience supporting SCADA environments and operational technology networks.
Familiarity with MQTT and related applications.
Experience supporting microwave and narrowband radio systems.
Knowledge of network monitoring and management platforms such as SolarWinds and Nokia NFM-P.
Experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure Networking is considered an asset.
Working knowledge of ServiceNow and ITIL best practices is considered an asset.
Experience operating within highly secure, mission-critical network environments.
Ability to multitask, prioritize work effectively, and meet deadlines.
Willingness to work in both office and field environments.
Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver’s License.
