Original job description

FABCO Plastics is seeking a hardworking, positive, and highly motivated individual to join our team. This position is responsible for all aspects of warehouse operations and may occasionally provide support at the order desk. The successful candidate will see this role as an opportunity to learn, grow, and advance within our organization. Key responsibilities include receiving incoming materials, preparing and shipping orders, and completing all required documentation.

Shipping and Receiving Responsibilities:

· Receive incoming goods and verify that all products are accurate and in good condition.

· Store received product in the appropriate locations.

· Complete and process all required paperwork.

· Prepare bills of lading and courier documentation as required.

· Pick, pack and weigh outgoing orders, ensuring that all goods are securely packaged and properly labelled.

· Work outdoors in the yard to load, unload, and ship orders in all weather conditions.

· Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly warehouse.

· Perform general shop duties as required.

· Maintain the forklift in safe operating condition and report any concerns to the branch manager.

· Follow all health and safety policies and procedures.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Inside Sales Responsibilities:

· Check inventory to confirm product availability.

· Calculate prices and apply the appropriate discounts.

· Address customer concerns and complaints professionally.

· Prepare orders and invoices.

· Ensure that customer information is accurate and current.

· Review customer accounts for available credit and outstanding balances.

· Advise customers of shipping dates and potential delays.

· Notify the appropriate internal department of each order and its scheduled shipping date.

· Review orders for accuracy and completeness.

· Identify opportunities to recommend additional products that meet customer needs.

· Maintain organized records of al processed orders.

Qualifications:

· Valid forklift licence.

· Excellent customer service skills.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Proficiency with computers and relevant warehouse software.

· Ability to maintain accurate inventory records.

· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

· Ability to stand for extended periods.

· Ability to safely lift and move items weighing more than 50 lbs.
