Original job description

Falkbuilt HQ is seeking an innovative and experienced Designer for Falk’s delegated design/design assist process in charge of projects from initial concept through to final execution. If you’re passionate about shaping high-quality interior environments and enjoy overseeing the full design journey, this could be the role for you. 8+ years of experience with advanced Revit skills are required.

Falkbuilt’s approach to interior construction - Digital Component Construction - combines proven construction methods with next-generation technology to build beautiful, high-performing and cost effective environments. As a Designer, you will be supporting architects, designers, and engineers, to get their projects from design to production while ensuring top end customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the full design lifecycle, from initial concept development to final design, ensuring alignment with both client vision and project goals.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to define project scope, design objectives, and ensure technical feasibility.
  • Lead design meetings to clarify project requirements, providing creative solutions and alternatives when necessary.
  • Create detailed project estimates based on designs and construction plans.
  • Use Revit and Falkbuilt-specific add-ins to draft design drawings, including 3D models, renderings, flythroughs, and final submittal drawings.
  • Ensure designs are accurately integrated with construction, electrical, and Architect & Design (A&D) drawing sets.
  • Coordinate project teams, internal resources, and third-party vendors for flawless design execution, managing timelines, budgets, and quality.
  • Oversee site evaluations to ensure design feasibility and alignment with construction constraints.
  • Provide regular project updates and maintain clear communication with clients and stakeholders, delivering a superior customer experience.
  • Champion the Falkbuilt brand by sharing our design expertise and innovation with both clients and internal teams.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A creative, strategic thinker who can lead projects from concept to completion.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Advanced experience with Revit is a must; knowledge of Enscape, SketchUp, and AutoCAD is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and willing to learn new technologies, including project management software.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction documents and specifications, including the ability to create detailed architectural sets (floor plans, elevations, electrical plans, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and the ability to interpret site conditions.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to work closely with all the stakeholders and Falkers (within the Branch and at HQ) and make sure the client has a positive experience with us.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architectural Technology or Architecture with 8 years of architectural design or studio experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire confidence and ensure clients have an exceptional experience.
  • Experience with Revit required - Enscape, and Microsoft Office Suite experience preferred.
