Guest Relations Coordinator, Far Niente Wine Estates

Founded in Oakville, California in 1885 and restored in 1979, Far Niente is consistently recognized as a benchmark producer of Napa Valley Chardonnay and Oakville Estate Cabernet Sauvignon.

Join our Company which is rich in history and stature.

Our team is expanding to support our growing portfolio. The Guest Relations Coordinator serves as a key first point of contact for guests visiting Far Niente Wine Estates and plays an important role in delivering a warm, polished and seamless arrival experience. This is a hybrid hospitality position designed to flex across Far Niente, Nickel & Nickel and Bella Union based on business and staffing needs.

The primary responsibility of the role is greeting and welcoming arriving guests, supporting the flow of daily appointments and ensuring each guest receives a thoughtful and elevated introduction to the estate. The secondary responsibility is providing inbound phone and guest communication support, helping ensure calls are answered promptly and guests receive knowledgeable, responsive assistance.

The ideal candidate is highly adaptable, energetic, comfortable shifting priorities and locations, confident with technology and motivated by creating exceptional guest experiences.

You will be successful in this role while performing these essential responsibilities:

Serves as a welcoming first point of contact for guests as they arrive on property.
Greets and check-in guests and communicates arrivals to the appropriate hospitality team.
Maintains awareness of the daily reservation schedule, including VIPs, returning guests and special occasions, to help personalize the guest experience.
Provides inbound phone coverage and assists guests with general questions and inquiries when not actively supporting arrivals.
Supports the Hospitality and Reservations teams during peak periods, staffing gaps and PTO coverage.
Provides flexible support across Far Niente, Nickel & Nickel and Bella Union based on business needs.
Assists the Hospitality Team with guest-facing and operational needs as needed.
Works in a safe manner and helps maintain clean, organized and guest-ready spaces.
Ability to work non-traditional business hours, including weekends and some evenings.

Our organizational culture is built upon a strong foundation of shared commitments:

Demonstrates ownership of job responsibilities through focus, determination, and attention to detail.
Demonstrates an attitude of teamwork by working collaboratively with peers to identify positive solutions to problems or issues.
Displays trust in their actions, having the confidence to know that we are all working for the benefit of each other.
Brings forward ideas for improvement and ways to increase efficiency. Is open to new ideas and positive change.
Strives to elevate their performance and welcomes feedback. Is receptive to changing needs and priorities.
Demonstrates respect for peers and colleagues, embraces differences and strives for understanding.
Shows care and responsibility for the resources that have been provided to them and aids in our efforts for social responsibility and being environmentally conscious.
Acts with integrity, honesty, and fairness, working towards achieving personal achievement rather than public attention.
Demonstrates pride in their work while striving for excellence.

You will be qualified for this role if you meet these requirements:

Previous experience of 6 months in a similar role.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Ability to work independently as well as a member of a highly functioning team.
Ability to communicate effectively in the predominately used language.
Ability to lift to 30 lbs.

This is a hybrid hospitality position and there are some physical requirements that our large estates require:

Full body mobility.
Ability to stand, ascend and descend stairs.

About Far Niente Wine Estates

Far Niente Wine Estates represents a legacy of excellence and stewardship that spans over 135 years, uniting the wines and vineyards under a single vision of artistry, integrity, and community. Founded in 1885 by John Benson with the construction of the iconic Far Niente stone winery in the heart of Napa Valley, the estate has expanded over the years, preserving its heritage while advancing the craft of winemaking through the vision and dedication of the dreamers and doers who have shaped the luxury wine industry.

In 1979, the Nickel family revitalized Far Niente, restoring its original grandeur and elevating it to an internationally renowned winery celebrated for Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon in the heart of Oakville, California. Today, as stewards of more than 400 acres of premier Napa and Russian River Valley vineyards, Far Niente Wine Estates’ commitment to quality and sustainability has guided its careful expansion, bringing together a collection of world-class wineries that reflect the diversity of Napa Valley and the Russian River Valley terroirs. The portfolio includes single vineyard, single varietal pioneer Nickel & Nickel; Bella Union, dedicated to showcasing diverse expressions of Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon-based blends; Post & Beam, centered on time-honored techniques used to craft its contemporary style; EnRoute, devoted to world-class Pinot Noir from the Russian River Valley; and Dolce, America’s leading late-harvest wine.

At the heart of Far Niente Wine Estates is a dedication to preserving the Napa legacy while exceeding expectations. This ensures that the estates’ wines remain a beloved symbol of craftsmanship, care for the land, and an enduring commitment to quality. The estates minimize their environmental footprint by committing to responsible and sustainable winemaking practices while fostering enduring value for all its stakeholders. Far Niente Wine Estates also embraces a culture of inclusion and authenticity, celebrating the unique contributions of its team and fostering a sense of belonging.
