Job Description

You’ll be responsible for the accurate and efficient receiving, handling, storage, and rotation of incoming products. This role ensures products are received in good condition, properly documented, and stored safely while maintaining high standards of quality, cleanliness, safety, and service for our employees, customers, and suppliers. Here are some of the other ways you’ll help us stand out:

• Receive incoming deliveries, verifying product quality, weights, quantities, pricing, and invoices, and documenting and resolving any discrepancies.
• Safely load and unload skids and handle products with care to minimize damage, spoilage, and product loss.
• Sort and store products in the appropriate coolers and storage areas, assessing shelf life and ensuring proper tagging and rotation in accordance with First Expired, First Out (FEFO) practices.
• Monitor receiving, storage, and cooler areas to ensure products and facilities are maintained in a safe, clean, and organized condition.
• Follow all Health & Safety, Food Safety, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and dress code requirements, and report hazards, incidents, equipment concerns, or unsafe conditions promptly.
• Maintain equipment and work areas as required to support safe and efficient operations.
• Identify and report maintenance or facility concerns, including: damaged equipment, building issues, or improperly stacked pallets, to the appropriate leader.
• Contribute to overall team success by taking on additional related responsibilities as needed.
  
  

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for delivering engaging and exceptional customer service.
• Typically requires 2 years of experience in a related warehouse, receiving, or distribution position.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse and receiving activities, including: product handling, storage, and rotation practices.
• Ability to work independently, follow established procedures and directives, and prioritize daily tasks with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong commitment to cleanliness, safety, product quality, and customer service.
• Ability to recognize and report cleaning, maintenance, safety, and facility concerns.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with employees, suppliers, and other partners.
• Comfortable working in a hands-on setting that involves multiple deadlines, extended periods of standing, heavy lifting, repetitive movement or tasks, frequent use of protective equipment or clothing, and work that is frequently performed in colder environments.
• Flexibility to support a dynamic schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Fluency in English; French language skills considered an asset.
