Original job description

If you’re looking for more, you’ve come to the right place.

From the moment we opened our doors in 1981, we knew we wanted to be different. The people who work here are special, and that’s what makes us special. Our team members uphold the standards we set long ago by making the exceptional everyday, building relationships with our customers and with each other, and finding a place where their potential meets opportunity.

Job Description

Be part of what makes us different.

You’ll play an important role in preparing the store for the day ahead by ensuring the department is fully stocked, organized, and presented at a high standard. With a strong attention to detail and a focus on teamwork, you’ll help create the fresh, well merchandised environment Farm Boy is known for, setting the stage for an exceptional shopping experience. Here are some of the other ways you’ll help us stand out:

Deliver consistent, high-quality work that supports Farm Boy’s commitment to the best fresh shopping experience.
Prepare, package, stock, and rotate merchandise on display counters and shelves, ensuring products are ready for the next day with high quality presentation and accurate signage.
Receive, unpack, organize, and replenish product efficiently to maintain appropriate inventory levels and minimize shrink.
Maintain clean, safe, and organized work and storage areas through general housekeeping duties, including: sweeping, mopping, and dusting.
Follow all corporate policies and procedures, with a strong focus on Health & Safety, Food Safety, and proper equipment use.
Complete designated overnight setup and closing procedures to ensure a smooth transition to daytime operations.
Support the team with additional duties on a periodic basis.

Qualifications

What you bring to the table.

We provide the opportunity, and you bring the potential.

Retail experience is considered an asset; an equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
The ability to work independently overnight with strong attention to detail and pride in delivering quality results and maintaining cleanliness standards.
A collaborative, team-oriented approach supported by strong communication and organizational skills.
Thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on setting that involves multiple deadlines, extended periods of standing, repetitive heavy lifting and product handling, and work that may be performed in coolers, freezers, or outdoor conditions.
Flexibility to work a dynamic schedule including overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Fluency in English; French language skills considered an asset.

What We Bring To The Table.

At Farm Boy, we believe in supporting our Team Members throughout their careers. From the head office to the individual store, we’re proud to stand out in the market as a workplace that offers:

Comprehensive benefit program and coverage that varies by position.
Coverage may include healthcare, dental care, disability coverage, life insurance and registered retirement savings program.
A 10% discount on in-store purchases.
