Shipping - Order Picker AB

OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Order Picker ensures that orders are prepared and shipped without errors, efficiently and in a timely manner for our customers.

Will perform other related duties as requested by his immediate superior, all in accordance with internal procedures and rules.

RESPONSIBILITIES

 Pick merchandise 90 %

• Take the order sheets and go to the correct bin locations to recover the right number of products.
• Drive an order picker lift truck to access the bin location in the warehouse.
• Place the items on the conveyor.
• Collect the accessory boxes prepared by the storekeeper and ensure they are placed with the correct orders.

Health & Safety 5 %

• Be compliant with the standards and business procedures as well as enforcing the health and safety laws.
• Ensure that work areas and equipment are kept clean and organized at all times.

Other 5 %

• Participate in the annual inventory.
• Complete various reports.

QUALIFICATIONS

• • High school diploma or vocational training.
• Excellent knowledge of English spoken and written.
• Experience operating an elevating platform order/stock picker.
• Reach truck experience is an asset.
• A minimum of one year’s experience in a similar position.
• Experience with various RF scanners and wireless devices is an asset.
• Steel toe boots are a must.
• Being able to do repetitive tasks.
• Capable of working in an environment where the temperature varies
• Good physical endurance, being able to move goods regularly that are 60 lbs. and over.
