With 125 years of experience, the FCC Group's Infrastructure Division is present in 25 countries, and its activities cover all areas of engineering and construction. It is a leader in the execution of transport infrastructure, as well as in residential and non-residential construction. FCC Construcción is currently the fourth-largest construction company in Spain in terms of contract volume and ranks among the top 30 in the world, according to the international magazine ENR (Engineering News-Record).

FCC Construcción, through its subsidiary FCC Canada, has been present in Canada for more than 25 years. In 1998, it was awarded the contract for the construction, operation, and maintenance of the Fredericton-Moncton motorway. In 2011, it was awarded the contract to the extension of a section of the Toronto subway expansion, the city's first modern subway infrastructure project. This project was completed in 2019.

In Canada, FCC is proud to be actively involved in multiple projects across Ontario and British Columbia aimed at improving public transportation and infrastructure.

CURRENT MAJOR PROJECTS IN CANADA:

Pape Tunnel and Underground Stations (PTUS)

FCC Canada, in a 50/50 joint venture with Webuild Civil Works Inc., will deliver the Pape Tunnel and Underground Stations section of the Ontario Line. This includes the design, construction, supply, and operation of three kilometres of twin tunnels underneath Pape Avenue between the Gerrard tunnel portal and the Don Valley bridge, two underground stations (Pape and Cosburn), two tunnel portals, three emergency exit buildings, and a rail switch/crossover near Sammon Avenue.

The Pape Station connection will interface with the Toronto Transit Commission Line 2 subway and related works.

The project uses a Progressive Design-Build (PDB) model, allowing greater collaboration between the project owner and contractor.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Traffic & Logistic Coordinator will report to: Traffic Manager

The Traffic & Logistic Coordinator key responsibilities are:

Coordinate daily traffic management activities in accordance with approved Traffic Management Plans (TMPs).
Work closely with subcontractors, traffic control personnel (TCPs), flaggers, brokers, truck operators, and project teams to ensure compliance with traffic requirements.
Conduct routine field inspections to verify compliance with project traffic and hauling requirements.
Monitor and enforce the Zero Tolerance Hauling Policy and approved traffic management procedures.
Investigate traffic-related incidents, non-compliance events, and route deviations.
Escalate compliance concerns and recommend corrective actions to management.
Participate in coordination meetings and prepare meeting minutes and action item logs.
Assist with Requests for Information (RFIs), traffic-related documentation, and project correspondence.
Coordinate haul route activities and truck logistics with subcontractors and construction teams.
Track truck movements and delivery activities to support project operations.
Communicate daily with TCPs and flaggers to collect:
Driver check-in records
Driver acknowledgement forms
Haul route documentation
Traffic control reports
Maintain accurate records of trucking operations and site access activities.
Support disciplinary and corrective action processes involving brokers, trucking companies, drivers, and subcontractors when non-compliance is identified.
Monitor haul truck movements using Geotab GPS telematics platforms.
Establish and manage geofencing areas along approved haul routes.
Conduct real-time monitoring of haul trucks (3+ axles) operating within Ward 14 and designated project routes.
Investigate route deviations and unauthorized truck movements.
Generate deviation logs and compliance tracking reports.
Monitor contractor adherence to approved hauling routes and traffic restrictions.
Generate daily, weekly, and monthly compliance reports for management and Metrolinx.
Maintain truck identification records and Ontario Line truck signage tracking.
Compile supporting documentation required for Compliance Assurance (CA) submissions.
Track corrective actions and maintain audit records.
Maintain accurate project records, correspondence, and compliance documentation.
Maintain project databases, logs, spreadsheets, and tracking tools.
Prepare presentations, dashboards, reports, and data summaries.
Support special projects and additional administrative responsibilities as required.
Assist the Traffic Manager and Construction Team with project coordination activities.
Support other administrative task as need it.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

Post-secondary education or certification in: Traffic Management, Logistics, Construction Management, Transportation Engineering, Civil Engineering or Related discipline

2 to 5 years of experience in Traffic coordination, Construction coordination, Logistics or haul route coordination, Construction site logistics, Transportation compliance

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Working knowledge of City of Toronto Code Chapter 950 and the Highway Traffic Act
Experience with GPS/telematics monitoring and compliance reporting
Ontario Traffic Control (Book 7) certification an asset
Valid Ontario "G" driver's licence
Experience doing Route compliance monitoring
Expertise in the following software. Microsoft Office Suite, Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Bluebeam, AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D, ArcGIS or other mapping platforms
Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving and investigative skills.
Detail-oriented with a focus on compliance and accuracy.
Ability to prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced construction environment.
Team player who can also work independently.

Salaty Banding: $90,000 - $100,000
