Job Opportunity: Salesforce Administrator (Permanent)

The Salesforce Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day administration, configuration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Invest Nova Scotia’s Salesforce platform. Under the direction of the Manager, Business Process Solutions, the role implements approved system changes, maintains data quality and governance practices, develops reports and dashboards, coordinates integrations, resolves platform issues, and provides training and guidance to users. The position supports secure, reliable, and user-focused service delivery while developing expertise in Salesforce platform capabilities, analytics tools, and responsible use of AI-enabled functionality.

What You’ll Do

You’ll play a key role in designing, optimizing, and supporting our Salesforce environment to help the organization work more effectively. This includes configuring and enhancing Salesforce features, reports, dashboards, automations, and integrations; supporting users through training, troubleshooting, and ongoing system administration; and implementing improvements that enhance service delivery, data quality, reporting, and user experience. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you’ll help translate business needs into practical solutions while ensuring strong practices around privacy, security, accessibility, governance, and continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For

You hold a bachelor's degree or College Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field combined with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Salesforce administration or a similar role.
Salesforce Administrator Certification is required or must be obtained within an agreed timeframe.
Additional Salesforce certifications, including Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, Data Cloud/Data 360, Tableau, or AI-related Salesforce credentials, are considered assets.
Experience in government, public sector, economic development, or program delivery environments is considered an asset.

You Also Bring

Experience administering and enhancing Salesforce solutions, including automation, reporting, data management, and user support.
Working knowledge of Salesforce administration, security, permissions, workflows, and platform best practices.
Experience gathering requirements, improving business processes, and translating operational needs into effective system solutions.
Familiarity with reporting, analytics, and data-driven decision-making tools.
Experience with system integrations, testing, releases, change management, or end-user training is considered an asset.
Knowledge of data governance, privacy, security, accessibility, and data quality best practices.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
The ability to manage multiple priorities, work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Classification: This is a bargaining unit position with an Invest Nova Scotia 5 rate of pay: $71,790-$87,269 based on the April 1, 2024, collective agreement rates. Preference will be given to qualified Invest Nova Scotia NSGEU bargaining unit candidates.
