Position Overview:

We are seeking a results-driven and collaborative Power Systems Rental Project Manager to lead complex Power generation rental projects from planning through execution. In this role, you will manage cross-functional teams, oversee installations and operations, and ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Job Description:

Lead multiple strategic projects using Finning’s Project Management and Continuous Improvement Methodologies, ensuring alignment with business goals.
Develop and maintain project charters and roadmaps in collaboration with business owners, process owners, and key stakeholders.
Coordinate rental project activities, including job site installation, operation, and demobilization, ensuring timely and high-quality execution.
Support proposal development, including equipment specifications, labor planning, and subcontractor coordination.
Mentor and guide project leads, promoting best practices in project management and continuous improvement.
Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, service operations, coordinators, and subcontractors to ensure project success.
Utilize project management tools to track progress, manage risks, and report on key milestones and deliverables.
Champion change management by identifying root causes of issues, implementing solutions, and ensuring sustainable improvements.
Ensure compliance with Finning policies, safety standards, and confidentiality requirements.
Represent the company professionally, maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

3+ years of project management experience, with a focus on business improvement, change management, or rental operations.
5+ years of relevant business experience, ideally in a technical, service, or consulting environment.
Training in Process Management, Change Management, Quality Management, or Lean Methodologies is preferred.
Project Management certification is an asset.
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, including Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement frameworks is an asset.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence without authority.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a results-oriented mindset and comfort managing ambiguity.
Experience coordinating subcontractors and job site logistics is a strong asset.
Familiarity with Caterpillar Power Systems products is considered an asset.
Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive strategic initiatives.

Notes:

This position is based out of our Edmonton Power Systems location.
Candidates in Calgary may also be considered.
Permanent, full-time role.
Monday – Friday, 5 x 2 schedule (availability to respond to emergencies after hours).
Travel required, up to 25% of total work hours.
