Opportunity

Are you a strong communicator who enjoys helping people, staying organized, and learning something new? Do you enjoy picking up the phone, asking the right questions, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks?

Millennium Insurance is looking for an eager-to-learn and customer-focused Case Coordinator to join our Care-First Claims team. Care-First is Alberta’s new auto insurance model focused on helping people injured in automobile accidents access the care and benefits they need to recover.

As a Case Coordinator, you will be one of the first points of contact for injured claimants, providing helpful and empathetic support throughout the claims process and helping create a positive claimant experience.

What you will be doing

  • Receive and review incoming Care-First claim notifications and assist with establishing new claim files.
  • Contact claimants by phone and email to gather information, explain the claims process, and provide helpful and empathetic support throughout the claims process.
  • Follow up with claimants, insurers, and service providers to obtain outstanding information and documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and organized electronic claim files, including correspondence, reports, invoices, and file notes.
  • Review incoming documents for completeness and refer information requiring technical review or a decision to the appropriate Case Manager or Team Lead.
  • Assist with invoice and payment administration by reviewing supporting documentation and preparing eligible payments for processing.
  • Respond to routine claimant questions and provide updates on claim status, documentation requirements, payments, and next steps.
  • Identify missing information, delays, discrepancies, or concerns and escalate them to the appropriate team member.
  • Provide day-to-day administrative and coordination support to the broader Care-First team.

What you bring to the team

  • 0-3 years of relevant work experience in customer service, administration, insurance, claims, or a related field
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to communicate with customers by phone and email
  • A customer-focused and empathetic approach when assisting individuals who may be injured or dealing with challenging circumstances
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage follow-ups and multiple priorities
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and learning new systems and technology
  • Good judgment and problem-solving skills, including knowing when to ask for assistance or escalate an issue
  • Ability to handle personal and confidential information with discretion
  • Eager to learn, take initiative, and develop knowledge of insurance claims and the Care-First model

How you will succeed

Success will be demonstrated by your ability to provide a positive and supportive experience for claimants, accurately coordinate claim intake and documentation, stay on top of required follow-ups, and provide reliable administrative support to the Care-First team. As you grow in the role, you will build your Care-First claims knowledge, confidently respond to routine inquiries, and recognize when matters require escalation.
