Title: Event Coordinator

Salary: $60,820 - $72,223 - $83,627 per year (pay range explained below)

Contract: Term contract until Nov 15, 2027

Hours: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri)

Location: Park Royal office, Metro Vancouver located on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples, including the territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil- Waututh Nations. (Hybrid working is an option in line with FNHA’s flex work policy). Please note, this role will be relocating to our new office building in North Vancouver on Tsleil-Waututh Nation (TWN) land, south of Mount Seymour Parkway in Spring 2027.

About The Role

As an Event Coordinator, you will support the travel and events unit, a centralized service supporting FNHA departments with the organization and implementation of large and complex events across BC. Provides comprehensive, senior level administrative and technical support for the Travel and Events Unit’s daily operations by ensuring efficient delivery of event coordination, including the development and implementation of plans, systems, processes and procedures essential for effective business operations

About You

To be successful in this role you will have/be;

Education

A diploma in event management or business administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience

Two years relevant and recent experience in a senior administrative capacity, with a focus on event coordination
Experience working with BC First Nations communities and/or organizations
Entry-level experience with project management methodologies is an asset
Experience in a customer service environment
Experience developing and maintaining administrative systems, processes and procedures
Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro is an asset
Experience working with PeopleSoft, SharePoint and online registration/attendee management systems is an asset

Knowledge/Skills

Knowledge of the FNHA, and its structure and inter-dependencies
Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with advanced customer service skills and a positive, professional attitude.
Excellent time management, organizational, and multitasking abilities, with a commitment to cultural safety, humility, and respectful relationship building

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.

The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
