This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to improving the quality and safety of FNHA's programs and services by leading planning for FNHA's accreditation cycle and supporting quality improvement projects across the organization.
Title: Lead Accreditation & Quality Improvement
Salary: $91,172 - $107,261 - $123,351 per year (pay range explained below)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours week Monday – Friday (core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri)
Location: Alberni or Park Royal Office - located on the unceded and ancestral territory of the x?m??k??y??m (Musqueam), S?wx_wú7mesh (Squamish), and s?lilw?ta? (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations (Hybrid and Remote working is an option in line with FNHA’s flex work policy).
About The Role
This is a backfill opportunity responsible for planning and advancing accreditation and quality improvement (QI) initiatives within FNHA and in partnership with First Nations health service organizations. Reporting to the Manager, the role leads the planning, implementation, coordination, monitoring, and continuous advancement of accreditation, client/patient safety, and quality improvement programs, while promoting organizational awareness and a culture of continuous improvement grounded in cultural safety. The position champions First Nations perspectives on quality, supports the Community Accreditation Quality Improvement (CAQI) program, and works closely with partner organizations to strengthen accreditation readiness and service excellence. Key qualifications include strong project and program management experience, expertise in quality improvement (QI), accreditation processes, and client/patient safety initiatives, as well as the ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder projects and drive measurable improvements in healthcare quality and outcomes.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have;
Education & Occupational Certification, Experience (REQUIRED)
- University Degree in a related field such as public health, planning, health policy, health management or social services
- Additional training, education, or experience related to First Nations health and healing
- Have recent and relevant experience in project and program coordination (usually acquired over a period of 5-7 years) preferably within the context of First Nations and/or Indigenous health or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Have recent and relevant experience of minimum 2 years in health services accreditation and quality improvement processes (recent defined as within last 5 years).
Education & Occupational Certification, Experience (ASSET)
- Knowledge and expertise in Quality Improvement, Change Management, Patient Safety and Accreditation standards preferred.
- Registered Professional Planner or Project Management Designation preferred.
Competencies
Indigenous Understanding
- Lived experience or knowledge of and ability to apply an understanding of First Nations cultural principles and protocols in work and healthcare practice situations
- Knowledge of diverse traditional First Nation’s healing practices
- Knowledge of and ability to articulate and envision the Two-eyed seeing approach to nursing practice, healthcare, and quality improvement

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.
Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.
The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
