Position Summary
We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Local Delivery Driver to support our delivery team. Truck would be local pick up 2500-3500 series with box refer. Clean driving record with Class 5 required

Key Responsibilities

• Morning truck checks
• Maintain a clean vehicle
• Delivery of products to local restaurants, institutions and grocery.

Other duties to help support the inside team

When time allows you would support the inside team with

• Pick fresh, frozen and dry goods and prepare them for delivery
• Prepare boxes and materials for shipping orders.
• Pack seafood items as required for shipping
• Load and unload delivery trucks efficiently and safely
• Operate pallet jacks or forklifts (if certified or trained)
• Follow all safety and handling procedures

Qualifications

• Previous experience in local delivery an asset or strong knowledge of local routes
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
• A strong understanding of the Halifax regional Municipality geography.

Hours: 38 – 45 hours per week, depending on the time of year.

Salary: $ 18.00 per hour, depending on experience to start.
