Original job description

Our Business

FISPAN Services Inc. (FISPAN) is an Enterprise SaaS FinTech company that allows banks to deploy embedded financial products and services to create a seamless banking connection for their corporate clients. Our product aims to provide instant scale and reach for banks who want to remove friction and add value by enabling their commercial banking clients to access banking services through their preferred ERP / accounting platform.

Founded in 2016 and headquartered in downtown Vancouver, FISPAN is on a mission to create the best product in the FinTech industry and fundamentally change the way that companies bank. Being the market leader in ERP Banking, we work with the world’s Tier 1 banks with assets exceeding $3T, including J.P. Morgan Chase, Wells Fargo, TD and Bank of Montreal.

We are looking for dynamic and passionate individuals to join our high performance team and contribute to our rapid growth and exciting journey.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a talented and autonomous UX/UI Designer to join our growing design team in Vancouver. In this role, you’ll take ownership of projects from concept through execution, bringing strong UX thinking, visual design, and attention to detail to everything you create.

You’ll work independently while collaborating closely with the Creative Director and cross-functional teams to ensure your work aligns with FISPAN’s product, brand, and creative vision.

We’re looking for someone who is confident in their craft, highly detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership while knowing when to seek direction, feedback, or alignment.

Only applicants with work samples or a portfolio will be considered.

What You'll Do:

Own UX/UI projects from concept through final delivery, translating complex business requirements and user scenarios into clear user flows, wireframes, and prototypes.
Design intuitive and engaging user interfaces that provide a seamless, consistent experience and align with brand guidelines.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of UI style guides and design systems.
Share knowledge, ideas, and constructive feedback with fellow designers.
Apply WCAG accessibility guidelines to layouts, typography, colour, and interactions.
Prepare and present design concepts and drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders.
Collaborate with product, engineering, and other stakeholders to bring designs to life.
Ensure designs are thoughtfully considered for usability, accessibility, and consistency across products.

What We Are Looking For:

4+ years of experience as a UX/UI Designer, ideally within a financial technology or SaaS environment.
A portfolio that demonstrates how you think through user journeys and solve complex layout and interaction problems, not just pretty screens.
Advanced Figma skills, including component configurations, responsive auto-layouts, and token systems using variables and modes.
Exceptional visual design skills and attention to detail.
Strong understanding of typography, layout, hierarchy, colour, interaction design, and WCAG accessibility guidelines.
Experience participating in design reviews, critiques, and providing actionable feedback to peers.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and front-end development principles is a plus.

You’ll Thrive Here If You:

Have a sharp visual eye and high standards for your work.
Enjoy turning complex problems into simple, elegant experiences.
Take initiative and can move projects forward independently.
Care about both the big picture and the smallest details.
Are curious, collaborative, and open to feedback.
Enjoy sharing your knowledge and learning from others.
Are looking to take on greater responsibility and continue growing as a designer.

As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive semi-annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.

At FISPAN, we reward employees for achieving their objectives, going beyond the requirements of their job, demonstrating leadership, fostering innovation and advancing the organization as a whole. Other components of our rewards offerings include support of career development, wellbeing, and personal growth.
