Original job description

FKA is hiring a full-time Senior Performance Marketing Specialist with strong expertise across Google Ads, Meta Ads, and performance analytics to join our growing digital media team. Reporting to the Director, Performance Marketing, we’re looking for a results-driven, proactive marketer who thrives on optimizing digital campaigns, identifying opportunities for improvement, and delivering measurable performance for our clients.

In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing paid media campaigns across search and paid social - including Google Search, Demand Gen, YouTube, Performance Max, Meta, and LinkedIn. You'll take ownership of campaign performance, translate data into actionable recommendations, and continuously look for ways to improve results. You'll also play an important role in supporting and mentoring junior media team members, while collaborating closely with account managers, creative teams, and analytics specialists to bring integrated campaigns to life for national and regional clients.

What you will do:

  • Strategize, build, manage, and optimize digital advertising campaigns across Google Ads (Search, Demand Gen, YouTube, Performance Max, and Shopping), Meta, and LinkedIn.
  • Take ownership of day-to-day campaign performance, proactively identifying trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities to improve results against established KPIs.
  • Develop and implement data-driven optimization strategies across campaign structures, bidding, audience targeting, creative, and placements to continuously improve campaign effectiveness.
  • Monitor and analyze performance across Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, and GA4, translating campaign data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Regularly evaluate campaign performance against KPIs such as ROAS, CPA, CTR, and engagement, making informed adjustments to maximize results and media efficiency.
  • Proactively identify and troubleshoot performance challenges, recommending solutions and implementing improvements without waiting for direction.
  • Plan and execute ongoing testing initiatives to identify opportunities for campaign improvement and apply learnings across client accounts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure campaigns align with client goals, audience targeting strategies, and broader marketing objectives.
  • Set up, audit, and troubleshoot ad tracking, pixel implementation, conversion tracking, and audience list creation using Google Tag Manager, GA4, Meta Events Manager, and LinkedIn Insight Tag.
  • Develop and deliver client-facing written reports and presentations, translating complex campaign data and technical terminology into clear, narrative-driven storytelling with actionable takeaways.
  • Mentor and guide junior media coordinators on campaign setup, optimization processes, troubleshooting, and platform best practices, helping strengthen the team's overall technical capabilities.
  • Stay up to date on platform updates, betas, and digital trends, proactively bringing forward new ideas, testing opportunities, and recommendations that can benefit our clients.

What you bring to the role:

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience planning, managing, and optimizing paid digital campaigns, with strong expertise in Google Ads and experience managing significant media budgets.
  • Demonstrated leadership in at least two of the following dimensions: Client Leadership (helping clients make better decisions), Pursuit Leadership (contributing to new business), Practice Leadership (developing people and improving our work), Project Leadership (leading successful execution), and Operational Leadership (improving systems and processes).
  • Strong hands-on experience with Meta Ads, including campaign structure, audience targeting, optimization, and performance measurement.
  • Experience managing LinkedIn advertising campaigns, particularly for B2B clients, is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively identify campaign performance challenges and opportunities, develop data-driven recommendations, and implement optimizations that deliver measurable improvements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret performance data, identify trends, and make informed decisions independently.
  • Experience building and optimizing campaigns across multiple formats, including Search, Display, YouTube, Performance Max, Demand Gen, and paid social.
  • Working proficiency with GA4, Google Tag Manager, and Data Studio, including conversion tracking, campaign measurement, troubleshooting, and performance reporting.
  • Proven ability in data storytelling - translating complex campaign data, technical terminology, and performance metrics into clear, compelling, client-facing written reports and presentations.
  • Experience mentoring, coaching, or supporting junior media team members, with the ability to explain optimization decisions, share best practices, and provide constructive guidance.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented approach to campaign management, with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to present campaign insights and recommendations to internal teams and clients.
  • Strong project management and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns, competing priorities, and deadlines.
  • Experience with Google Merchant Center, Microsoft Ads, or programmatic advertising platforms is an asset.
  • Google Ads Certification (Search, Display, Video, or Measurement) or Meta Certification is preferred.

The salary range for this position is $66,100 - $85,900 depending on experience.
