Original job description

Description

Laminex New Zealand forms part of the Building Products division of Fletcher Building and we are a trusted business partner with market-leading brands for great design spaces, offering expert knowledge and exceptional value to our customers. We have a fantastic people culture at Laminex, and our priority is to make all our people feel welcomed when they join and feel valued as they continue their journey with us.

At Laminex Hamilton, due to an internal promotion we are looking for a motivated Warehouse/Logistics Operator to support our busy dispatch and warehouse operations. If you're an experienced forklift operator who enjoys a hands-on role and takes pride in accuracy, customer service and getting the job done right.

About the Role

This is a hands-on warehouse and logistics role focused on the safe and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of products. You'll load and unload trucks, prepare delivery documentation, pick and pack orders, and complete basic warehouse system transactions while working closely with drivers and transport providers. We're looking for a motivated, detail-oriented team player who enjoys hands-on work and is eager to learn and grow.

This role requires flexibility to work between 5:00am and 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, on a rotating roster across a 45-hour week, including paid breaks.

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

At least 3-5 years' experience within a warehousing, logistics or manufacturing environment.
A current Forklift Licence (F Endorsement preferred) with proven experience loading and unloading trucks safely and efficiently.
Good computer literacy, including experience with warehouse or ERP systems such as BPICS, SAP, or similar.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy and numeracy skills.
Excellent communication skills and the confidence to build positive relationships with drivers, transport providers and internal stakeholders.
A strong commitment to health and safety.
The ability to work independently while contributing to a close-knit team environment.
A flexible, proactive approach and willingness to support the team wherever needed.
A positive attitude, strong work ethic and eagerness to learn and develop.

To ensure your and others safety, we do require pre-employment medical testing and a criminal history clearance. Please only apply if you are legally entitled to work in New Zealand.

What we offer

You will receive comprehensive on-the-job training to set you up for success. As part of Fletcher Building, you’ll also have access to a range of great benefits, including parental leave, education fund grants for you and your immediate family, employee recognition programmes, and company discounts with leading retailers. If you’re ready to take ownership of this role and contribute to a supportive, safety-focused, and high-performing team, we encourage you to apply.

Studies indicate that some females and minority groups may hesitate to apply unless they meet all the criteria. If this role interests you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every requirement.

Our teams thrive on diversity, embracing various nationalities, languages, religions, customs, and lifestyles. We are proud of our diversity and see it as one of the things that make us better together.
