We are seeking an experienced Application Engineer to design, develop, and support integration services, APIs, and automation capabilities that enable AI-powered business solutions. The role will focus on building scalable connectors, middleware services, and enterprise integrations that allow AI agents and business applications to securely interact with internal and external systems.
The ideal candidate combines practical software engineering experience with sound judgment about how an integration will work within the wider business process and system.
Key Responsibilities
•
Design, develop, test, deploy, and troubleshoot production REST APIs and integration services.
•
Build and enhance MCP (Model Context Protocol) connectors and other enterprise integration frameworks.
•
Develop middleware services that bridge AI platforms with enterprise applications and data sources.
•
Create automation capabilities that streamline business processes and AI-assisted workflows.
•
Collaborate with solution architects, product teams, and business stakeholders to define scalable technical solutions.
•
Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and design sessions.
•
Ensure solutions meet security, performance, reliability, and maintainability standards.
•
Contribute to reusable frameworks, libraries, and integration patterns.
•
Use AI-assisted development tools such as Codex in day-to-day engineering, and review and test the resulting code.
Required Skills & Experience
•
Strong software engineering background with Python.
•
Experience designing and delivering production REST APIs.
•
Solid understanding of API design principles, authentication, authorization, and integration patterns.
•
Experience working with cloud-native applications and services.
•
Understanding of event-driven and service-oriented architectures.
•
Practical experience with automated testing, CI/CD, code reviews, and diagnosing production failures.
•
Ability to understand the purpose and wider context of a requirement, explain assumptions and trade-offs, and judge when to proceed, clarify, or challenge the proposed approach.
•
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
•
Experience with MCP or AI agent integration frameworks.

Experience building enterprise automation solutions.

Front-end or UI development experience.
•
Experience with Databricks, cloud platforms, or enterprise AI systems.

Previous experience in consulting or complex enterprise environments.
