Detailed Job Description: https://kootenay.jobs/job/nelson-bc-local-applicants-only-research-assistant/

FLFE Innovations Corp. (FLFE) is a fast-growing consciousness technology company based in Nelson, British Columbia. Through its subscription-based services, FLFE aims to create a high-consciousness field around an object or within a designated location. Its services are designed to support quality of life, with intended benefits including personal growth, reduced anxiety, improved sleep, and mitigation of electromagnetic field (EMF) effects. Central to FLFE’s approach is the belief that a high-consciousness environment can support greater energy, well-being, and mental freedom.

The Mission

FLFE’s mission is to support the optimal conditions for the evolution of consciousness in an economized society.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is curious, service-oriented, and passionate about both research and human connection. The Research Assistant / Customer Support Specialist (RA/CSS) is a full-time dual role that supports the FLFE Research Department while also serving as a valued member of the Customer Support team.

This role is ideal for someone who is early in their research career and eager to gain hands-on experience across the full research lifecycle – from data collection and literature reviews to knowledge dissemination and customer engagement. The RA/CSS embodies our philosophy of Business as a Spiritual Path and finds meaning in contributing to research that explores the measurable effects of consciousness on health and well-being.

Role Summary

The RA/CSS is a full-time position that combines research support with customer support responsibilities. Once the initial training period is complete, approximately 70% of working hours will be dedicated to research activities and 30% to customer support. This balance may evolve in response to the needs of the Research Department and the broader FLFE team.

During the first 3–6 months, the role is expected to be split evenly between customer support and research support, with approximately 20 hours per week dedicated to training and work in each area.

Following this initial period, the role is expected to transition to approximately 28 hours per week in research and 12 hours per week in customer support. Ongoing customer support work will help deepen the RA/CSS’s understanding of customer needs and ensure those insights continue to inform research activities.

In the research portion of this role, the RA/CSS supports active research projects across FLFE's workstreams, which currently include plant research, EMF sensitivity and mitigation research, customer experience research, and customer journey enhancement research. The RA/CSS assists with data collection, literature reviews, document preparation, and the translation of research findings into accessible, customer-facing resources.

In the CSS portion of this role, the RA/CSS serves as a compassionate, knowledgeable point of contact for FLFE customers – answering questions, supporting free trial users, and contributing to a high-quality customer experience that reflects the FLFE mission.

Job Type, Reporting, Location, and Work Hours

This is a full-time on-site role based at our office at 617–619–621 Vernon Street, Nelson, BC. Office hours are 7 am to 7 pm, Monday to Saturday. The candidate can work flexible hours within these office hours as agreed with their supervisors. Some research tasks may occasionally be performed outside of standard office hours.

The RA/CSS reports to the Research Coordinator (RC) and works closely with the broader research team. Please note that the RC works both on site and remotely. On the CSS side, the RA/CSS reports to the CSS Team Lead.

Participate in brainstorming sessions on current and future research projects.
Provide research-informed resources and support to CSS and Free Trial team members to improve their ability to address customer questions related to research outcomes.

Act as a primary contact for prospects on free trials, guiding them in understanding and appreciating FLFE services, and facilitating a seamless transition to paid services.
Establish and maintain positive, supportive relationships with FLFE subscribers, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
