Job Description
FLINT is seeking Journeyperson Welders for a permanent position in Fort McMurray, AB starting ASAP. In this position, you will enjoy a 7/7 schedule, camp accommodations, flights provided from Calgary or Edmonton, and benefits after 300+ hours worked.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyperson Welder ticket.
- B-Pressure ticket is an asset.
- Possess CWB certification as a testament to your welding skills.
- Oil Sands or sizeable open pit mining equipment experience.
- Meet minimum mandatory safety ticket requirements:
- CSO (Common Safety Orientation from Energy Safety Canada)
- Physically capable of performing demanding job tasks in various work conditions.
- Able to provide a clean 3-year driver's abstract with under 9 demerits.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.
Additional Information
This position has been identified as a safety sensitive position and will require completion of drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities
Perform welding work on oil sands or large open-pit mining equipment at the Fort McMurray site. Carry out demanding job tasks safely and meet the position’s quality and safety expectations.
Requirements
Applicants must hold a valid Journeyperson Welder ticket and CSO certification; CWB certification and a B-Pressure ticket are also noted, with B-Pressure listed as an asset. Oil sands or sizeable open-pit mining equipment experience, physical capability, a clean three-year driver’s abstract with fewer than nine demerits, and written and verbal English proficiency are required.
