Original job description
Float Attendant (Part-time), Float Valley, Markham
About Float Valley
Float Valley is a human optimization centre in Markham. We've been open since 2017, we hold 4.8 stars across 900+ Google reviews, and we're a TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice winner.
We offer float therapy, contrast therapy, infrared and ozone saunas, and the Energy Enhancement System. People come to us stressed, in pain, sleep-deprived, or just needing two hours where nobody can reach them. Our job is to make that possible, and to make the place feel calm, clean and cared for from the second they walk in.
The role
You are the person our guests actually meet. You'll welcome them, give tours, walk first-timers through services they've never tried, and reset every room to a standard most people would call excessive. A lot of this job is cleaning, and ensuring our guests have the highest quality experience available.
What you'll do
- Greet and check in guests, give facility tours, and orient first-timers to their service
- Answer questions about float therapy, saunas, contrast therapy and the EE System
- Turn over rooms between every appointment: towels, linens, dispensers, surfaces, floors
- Run laundry throughout your shift
- Monitor water quality and temperatures of all services
- Take bookings, answer phones and emails, and manage the front desk
- Process payments, memberships and retail in our booking system
- Open or close the centre, following a detailed checklist
- Participate in Tuesday morning deep cleans when scheduled.
What we're looking for
- Reliability above everything. We are a small team, and we are building a family of people who truly care about wellness and the work we do.
- High level of customer service and conflict resolution
- Front desk or customer service experience is an asset
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- High attention to detail
- Physical work: standing most of your shift, lifting, and getting wet and salty
- Weekday and weekend availability, including evenings
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
What we offer
- Free access to every service we offer. We genuinely want you using them; you're a better guide once you've experienced them
- 20% off for your immediate family
- $20/hr, full paid training
- A quiet, clean, calm place to work
- A small team where your work is visible and matters
