Responsibilities
Tasks
- Analyze current scientific nutritional studies to improve nutritional programs
- Conduct research to improve nutritional programs and food service operations
- Design a personalized menu for patients
- Determine the nutritional treatment plan
- Develop nutrition plan for food service programs
- Evaluate normal and therapeutic menus to maintain and enhance general health
- Evaluate program effectiveness to improve the nutritional value, taste, appearance and preparation of food
- Provide a complete nutritional assessment
- Provide nutrition guidance and consultation to health professionals, community groups, government or the media
- Plan, evaluate and conduct nutrition education programs and develop educational materials for various audiences
- Aid in the prevention of inadequate nutrition
