Software Engineer
$160K–$260K base + equity

This is a high-impact engineering role for someone who enjoys building polished products, owning projects end-to-end, and working closely with product, design, and engineering in a fast-moving startup environment.
What you’ll do
Design, build, test, ship, and iterate on core products used by businesses every day.
Own projects end-to-end, from scoping and technical design to implementation, launch, and refinement based on real customer feedback.
Build across backend, frontend, APIs, data models, and product workflows.
Design clean APIs, debug complex systems, and write reliable, maintainable code.
Work closely with product and design to make thoughtful tradeoffs around scope, functionality, and customer experience.
Use AI tools thoughtfully to accelerate exploration, design, and implementation while maintaining full ownership of code quality and technical decisions.
Contribute to a strong engineering culture built around ownership, high standards, low ego, and fast execution.
What we’re looking for
4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Strong experience building and shipping production software in a startup, small-team, or fast-moving environment.
Proven ability to lead and deliver technically challenging, cross-functional projects.
Comfort designing APIs, debugging complex systems, and writing tests.
Strong product sense and ability to balance technical quality with customer impact.
Comfort working in ambiguous environments with high ownership and autonomy.
Interest in or willingness to learn financial concepts relevant to small businesses.
Excited to work in person with a high-performing team in New York or Toronto.
