Digital Media Coordinator

Social Media, Content & Community

The Role

Foreground is a boutique 360° agency specializing in integrated marketing, creative campaigns, experiential, digital, social, and content production for some of North America’s most ambitious brands.

We build ideas that people remember.

We’re looking for a Social Media Coordinator who lives comfortably at the intersection of content, culture, community, and organization.

You’ll work closely with our Social, Creative, Strategy, and Account teams to help bring our clients’ brands to life across social every day.

This is a hands-on role.

You’ll write. You’ll post. You’ll edit. You’ll engage with communities. You’ll help coordinate creators and influencers. You’ll track campaigns and figure out what’s working.

Most importantly, you’ll help make sure great ideas actually make it into the world.

What Success Looks Like

Success isn’t just keeping the content calendar full.

It’s making our clients’ social channels feel active, relevant, responsive, and unmistakably on-brand.

You’ll know you’re succeeding when:

Content is consistently published accurately and on schedule.
Captions, posts, Reels, TikToks, and Stories feel native to the platforms they live on.
Our communities receive thoughtful and timely responses.
Trends and cultural opportunities are identified early enough for us to actually use them.
Campaigns are tracked properly and the team knows what’s performing.
Influencer and creator programs stay organized and moving.
Our Social, Creative, and Account teams can trust that the details are handled.
You’re increasingly bringing ideas to the table rather than waiting for the next assignment.

Ultimately, we want you to help us make better social work while becoming a stronger social marketer along the way.

Responsibilities
Content Creation

Write engaging, platform-native captions and social copy across client accounts.
Create and edit short-form content for platforms including Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and other relevant channels.
Film and edit Reels, TikToks, Stories, and other social-first video content.
Create basic graphics and adapt existing creative for social.
Work alongside our Creative team to turn larger campaign ideas into effective social content.
Maintain brand voice and visual consistency across every post.

Social & Calendar Management

Maintain and manage content calendars across multiple client accounts.
Schedule and publish content using social management and native platform tools.
Coordinate approvals and ensure content is ready to go live on schedule.
QA posts before publishing, including copy, creative, tags, links, formatting, and timing.
Keep social channels organized, current, and moving.

Community Management

Monitor comments, direct messages, mentions, and conversations across client channels.
Respond to communities in each brand’s established voice.
Identify questions, issues, opportunities, and conversations that require escalation.
Help our brands participate in culture rather than simply publish into it.
Keep a pulse on what audiences are saying about our clients and their categories.

Trends & Culture

Stay current on social trends, platform updates, emerging formats, creators, memes, and cultural conversations.
Identify trends that are actually relevant to our brands, not just trending.
Bring proactive content ideas and opportunities to the Social and Creative teams.
Help us understand how audience behaviour is changing across platforms.
Be curious about what’s next.

Analytics & Campaign Tracking

Track key social performance metrics including reach, engagement, views, growth, and content performance.
Support monthly and campaign reporting across client accounts.
Monitor boosted content and digital campaign activity.
Help identify what’s working, what isn’t, and what we should do differently next time.
Maintain organized campaign and performance tracking.

Influencer Coordination

Support influencer and creator programs from outreach through execution.
Coordinate communications, timelines, content requirements, approvals, and deliverables.
Track creator content and ensure agreed deliverables are completed.
Maintain organized influencer and creator lists.
Support reporting and wrap-up following campaigns.

Qualifications

We care about what you can do, how you think, and how much you want to learn.

You’ll bring:

1–3 years of experience working in social media, digital marketing, content, or a related role.
Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and other major social platforms.
Excellent writing skills and an instinct for how brands should communicate online.
Experience creating and editing short-form video content.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
An understanding of social analytics and basic performance reporting.
Strong attention to detail.
The confidence to communicate clearly with teammates, clients, creators, and partners.
Curiosity about culture, content, brands, and what people are paying attention to online.

Agency experience is an asset, but we’re more interested in finding someone who understands social and wants to get very good at it.

Bonus Points

Experience working across multiple brands or social accounts.
Experience with influencer or creator campaigns.
Experience with paid or boosted social content.
Experience using social management and reporting platforms.
Basic graphic design skills.
Strong short-form video editing skills.
Experience capturing social content on location, at events, or in the wild.
