Original job description

Territory Sales Manager (TSM)

Location: Regina, Saskatchewan
Work Arrangement: In-person / Field-Based

At Formations, strong relationships and a customer-first approach are the foundation of sustainable growth. We are looking for a motivated, relationship-driven Territory Sales Manager (TSM) to join our Saskatoon team and help expand our market presence.

In this role, you will grow an assigned territory, develop new business, strengthen existing customer relationships, and promote Formations’ distribution and manufactured products. Working closely with branch leadership, Customer Service, and Operations, you will identify market opportunities, execute sales plans, and contribute to the overall success of the business. If you are proactive, commercially minded, and passionate about delivering value to customers, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Territory Growth & Business Development

Develop and execute territory sales plans to achieve revenue, profitability, and growth targets.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and customer outreach.
Grow existing accounts and expand sales across distribution and manufactured product lines.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth.
Maintain a structured sales pipeline, customer visit schedule, and accurate sales forecasts.

Customer Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, prospective accounts, and key decision-makers.
Conduct regular customer visits and business reviews to understand needs, address concerns, and identify growth opportunities.
Provide product information, pricing support, quotes, and timely follow-up.
Work with internal teams to resolve customer concerns and support effective order fulfillment and service delivery.

Sales Performance & Collaboration

Negotiate pricing and manage sales opportunities while supporting company profitability objectives.
Monitor sales performance against targets, identify gaps, and develop plans to improve results.
Maintain accurate customer records, sales activity, and pipeline reporting using CRM and sales management tools.
Collaborate with branch leadership, Customer Service, and Operations to align sales priorities and deliver an excellent customer experience.
Share market insights and contribute to branch business planning, sales forecasts, and growth initiatives.
Represent Formations professionally at customer meetings, industry events, and business development activities.

What You Bring

Experience in B2B sales, territory management, account management, or business development.
A proven ability to build relationships, develop new business, and achieve sales targets.
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Commercial awareness, including an understanding of pricing, gross margins, and customer profitability.
A proactive, self-motivated approach to territory management and customer engagement.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and sales reporting tools.
A collaborative mindset and commitment to customer satisfaction.

Assets That Would Set You Apart

Experience in building materials, architectural products, millwork, doors, cabinetry, or related industries.
Established relationships within construction, manufacturing, distribution, or building products markets.
Experience working with contractors, builders, dealers, distributors, architects, or designers.
Knowledge of the Saskatoon market and surrounding territory.

Why Join Formations?

At Formations, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a growing business while developing your territory and building lasting customer partnerships.

Living Our Core Values

Our values guide how we work, support one another, and contribute to our shared success.

Citizenship: We look beyond our individual responsibilities, support our teammates, and understand how our work impacts our customers and the broader business.

We’re looking for someone who brings these values to the workplace every day.

If you enjoy connecting with customers, uncovering opportunities, and turning relationships into results, we would love to hear from you.

Ready to grow with Formations? We’d love to hear from you.
