NUMBER OF HIRES: 1

FortisAlberta is seeking a detail-oriented and service-focused People & Culture Program Advisor to support a variety of programs that contribute to the employee experience.

In this role, you will work across pension, benefits, disability management, HR systems, and workforce reporting while helping employees and leaders navigate important processes throughout the employee lifecycle.

Job Description:
• Support the administration of People & Culture programs, including pension, benefits, disability management, HR systems, and workforce reporting.
• Process employee enrollments, life events, leaves, retirements, terminations, and other employee lifecycle transactions accurately and on time.
• Respond to employee and leader inquiries regarding program eligibility, processes, forms, and timelines.
• Coordinate with payroll, finance, vendors, benefit carriers, pension providers, disability providers, and People & Culture partners to resolve issues.
• Support disability management processes, including claim tracking, documentation, accommodations, return-to-work activities, and reporting.
• Complete data audits, reconciliations, validation, and corrections to maintain accurate employee and system information.
• Prepare workforce reports, dashboards, summaries, correspondence, and tracking information to support program administration and decision-making.
• Support HR system troubleshooting, testing, enhancements, documentation, training materials, and user support.
• Identify process gaps, recurring issues, and opportunities to improve program administration, reporting, and employee service.
• Participate in special projects and contribute to broader departmental and organizational initiatives.

Qualifications:
• Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Disability Management, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Three to five years of related experience in human resources program administration, benefits, pension, disability management, HR systems, payroll coordination, or workforce data; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Previous experience working with HRIS systems such as SAP and Success Factors is a large asset.
• Experience working in a unionized or regulated environment, particularly within the electrical utility industry, is considered an asset.
• Strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills, including experience reviewing data, completing reconciliations, and preparing reports.
• Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to provide professional and confidential support to employees, leaders, vendors, and internal partners.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, deadlines, and detailed documentation.

Important:
• Permanent, full-time role.
• Monday – Friday schedule.
• Hybrid role, with opportunity to work 2 days per week from home.
• Based out of our Calgary office location.
• This role will be moving to our Airdrie office location in 2027.
