Product Development Specialist

Forward Insurance Managers Ltd. is a Canadian InsurTech Managing General Agent (MGA) partnering with brokers and insurers to deliver specialized coverage solutions. We are seeking a detail-oriented Product Development Specialist to develop, enhance, and maintain Forward’s commercial insurance product suite.

Location: Vancouver, BC

Key Accountabilities

• Research market trends, broker needs, competitor offerings, and emerging risks in commercial and professional lines.
• Develop and refine products including coverage, underwriting guidelines, rating, wordings and endorsements.
• Collaborate with leadership, underwriting, claims, operations and technology teams to bring products from concept to launch.
• Support product implementation, testing, documentation and ongoing product reviews.
• Develop and deliver product materials and training to brokers and the Forward team.
• Monitor product performance and recommend changes to remain competitive and profitable.
• Assist with Insurer regulatory/compliance requirements as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Commercial P&C insurance (commercial underwriting / product development, underwriting, or compliance).
• Working knowledge of Commercial Lines underwriting / coverages / policy wordings / rating structures.
• CIP designation (in progress or completed) preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication and comfort with Microsoft Office (Excel)

Salary Range: CAD $50,000–$80,000
