About ForwardPath AI
At ForwardPath AI, we believe AI will change how every industrial company operates. The companies that start now, in the parts of the business where it counts, will be the ones that lead their industries.
We are an AI transformation partner focused on the industrial sector, including construction, engineering, architecture and manufacturing. We help our clients move from AI curious to AI enabled by working with specific departments within an organization to solve the problems AI is best at solving. We support our clients through strategy, training and custom-built tools.
Most of the companies we work with already know AI matters. What they're missing is a clear place to start and someone to help them follow through. We get specific, department by department, and stay involved until the change sticks.
We're a small team that takes responsibility for outcomes, from strategy through implementation. We know how much work it takes to turn a good idea into something people use.
The Role
As our Senior AI Implementation Lead, you'll lead client strategy and training engagements and help departments put AI to work in their daily workflows.
In a typical engagement, you'll meet with the executives championing AI inside the organization to work out how we can best support them, given the company's structure, industry, products and services. You'll then work with department leaders to understand what their teams are trying to improve, and spend time with the people doing the work until you know where the time goes. From there you'll decide with the client which problems to go after first, work out how AI can help, and get the team using it through hands-on sessions, 1:1 coaching and follow-up. Then you measure what changed and plan the next round.
You'll plan and build engagements with our VP of AI Enablement. We expect you to have opinions and to push back when something doesn't make sense.
You'll do well here if you:
- Use AI tools constantly in your own work
- Are comfortable presenting to a full room and to a skeptical executive
- Want to understand how other people's jobs work, down to the spreadsheet they open every Monday
- Have taught people before, and know that watching a demo isn't the same as being able to do it yourself
What You'll Do
Understand the department
- Interview department leaders about their goals, pressures and what they've already tried
- Shadow people as they work, or have them walk you through their week, and map the workflows that take the most time
- Identify where AI can realistically help, and where it can't
Design the engagement
- Work with our VP of AI Enablement to decide which problems to tackle first and what success looks like
- Plan the mix of working sessions, training, coaching and follow-up each department needs
- Bring in our engineering team when a problem needs a custom tool
- Change the plan when something isn't working
Implement solutions with the team
- Work through real tasks with the people who do them, using Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, agents and automations
- Build the prompts, templates, agents and job aids the department will use day to day
- Write down what works so it can be reused in other departments and with other clients
Train and coach
- Run sessions on-site and over Teams, from organization-wide kickoffs to small-group workshops and 1:1 coaching
- Build the decks, talk tracks and exercises for each session, using the department's own work
- Help hesitant people get started, and give advanced users something new
- Keep content current as the tools change, which happens often
Measure and report
- Track adoption and time saved before, during and after each engagement
- Write short readouts for client leadership on what changed and where to go next
What You Bring
- 5+ years in roles that involved advising, presenting, teaching or selling
- Daily use of multiple AI tools and a clear understanding of where each is useful and where it falls short
- Consulting or discovery experience, where you had to learn how a team works and figure out what to fix
- Experience in front of an audience. Acting, sales, consulting, teaching and public speaking all count
- Experience planning multi-session programs or projects for corporate clients
- An understanding of how adults learn. You can explain why a prompt works so people can write their own next time
- Clear writing and the organizational skills to manage work across several departments or clients
Nice to have:
- Management or strategy consulting experience
- Classroom teaching, corporate training or instructional design experience
- Startup or early-stage company experience
- Hands-on experience with Copilot Studio, Power Automate, custom GPTs or Claude Projects
- Familiarity with construction, engineering or industrial operations
What Success Looks Like
- First 90 days: You've co-led a department engagement with our VP of AI Enablement, run discovery and training sessions yourself, and helped ship at least one solution the team uses each week.
- First year: You're running department engagements from first meeting to final readout with light oversight, and clients are bringing you into their next department.
Why Work at ForwardPath
ForwardPath was founded by serial entrepreneurs who have built companies before and taken them through successful exits. None of us had to start another one. We did it because we wanted to, and we try to run the company the same way. We put people in roles where they can learn and grow, and where they actually enjoy the work.
The work gives you a wide view of how businesses run. In a single engagement you might work with finance, HR and field operations at a company with thousands of employees. Most of our clients are construction and industrial companies, where there is still a lot of manual work and a lot of room to improve, so the results of what you do are easy to see.
We're small and growing, so you'll help shape the practice. The way you run engagements will become part of how we run them.
You'll have access to the latest AI tools, and we pay for them. We encourage you to keep learning how to use them every day, so your own capabilities keep growing along with the tools.
