About the Role
FoxCanada is seeking a hands-on, well-rounded Safety Equipment Technician to join our team. In this role, you will assist with the assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of our safety, signage, and solar-powered product lines. Full product-specific training will be provided - we are simply looking for someone with solid mechanical, electrical, and computer fundamentals who is eager to learn.
Key Responsibilities
Mechanical: Assemble, mount, and physically inspect equipment, enclosures, and hardware components.
Electrical & Solar: Assist with basic wiring, crimping, battery connections, and solar component setups using standard hand tools and multimeters.
IT / Computer Support: Configure device settings, install firmware/software updates, test connectivity, and assist with basic network or hardware setups.
General Support: Assist the production and technical teams with testing, product quality checks, and documentation.
Qualifications
Basic understanding of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical assembly.
Foundational electrical knowledge, with an interest in solar systems and battery technology.
Comfortable with general computer tasks, device configuration, and basic IT troubleshooting.
Strong desire to learn; comprehensive on-the-job training on all our products and systems will be provided.
Post-secondary technical diploma, trade certificate, or equivalent practical hands-on experience is an asset.
