Quality Engineer Lead

What you'll do:

Quality engineering and automation

• Design, build and maintain scalable automated test solutions that improve quality, reliability and performance
• Analyze automation results, investigate failures and resolve quality risks early with the teams involved
• Develop test strategies and patterns for functional, performance, scalability and reliability requirements
• Apply modern techniques, including AI-assisted test generation for cloud APIs

Process, metrics and governance

• Define, track and report quality KPIs such as defect trends, defect density and first-time pass rate
• Prepare and present quality dashboards, audit findings and recommendations to stakeholders
• Establish and evolve quality standards, tools and best practices across teams

Collaboration and leadership

• Partner with developers, product managers and business analysts to embed quality throughout the SDLC
• Conduct code and test reviews, flagging risks and improvement opportunities early
• Peer-review deliverables to build a culture of learning and continuous improvement
• Stay current with frontend and backend technologies, testing frameworks and industry trends

What you bring:

Required

• Hands-on quality engineering experience with a strong focus on test automation in modern software environments
• Proven ability to design test strategies, analyze results and use quality metrics to drive improvements
• Experience testing cloud-based APIs, including exposure to AI-enabled or automated test generation tools
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to influence quality practices across cross-functional teams
• A problem solver who digs past the surface to find root causes

Preferred

• Experience leading or influencing quality engineering across multiple teams or complex systems
• Hands-on use of AI-driven or advanced automation techniques for API or cloud testing
• Performance, scalability and reliability testing in distributed systems
• Banking or financial services experience
