Original job description

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable, resilient services for high-volume trade processing in a Capital Markets environment.
Modernize and migrate legacy business logic from TCL into Java-based applications while improving code quality and maintainability.
Build and optimize components across:
Trade Capture
Trade Enrichment
Trade Lifecycle Processing
Multi-leg Trade Handling
Back-office Message Generation
Integrate with enterprise systems including:
Order Management Systems (OMS)
Messaging platforms
Back-office applications
Regulatory/reporting interfaces
Work with existing static/reference data platforms and support future modernization initiatives.
Participate in architecture design to ensure performance, scalability, and fault tolerance.
Execute performance testing and stress testing under high-throughput trading conditions.
Maintain backward compatibility with existing upstream and downstream integrations.

Required Skills & Experience

Strong experience in Java Spring Boot, Microservices and application modernization.
Scripting languages: Shell, Pert, TCL
Database: Sybase, SQL Server, ASE SQL
Familiar with tools: Verifix, GitHub, Jenkins, Nexus, Eclipse
OS: Unix/ Linux
Strong experience in Azure Cloud development and usage.
Strong experience with distributed systems and high-throughput processing.
Strong experience with message platforms: Solace, Kafka.
Strong experience integrating with:
FIX protocol
Messaging platforms
SQL databases
XML / file-based integrations
Knowledge of Capital Markets / Equities / Trade Processing workflows.
Performance tuning and scalability engineering experience
Familiarity with modernization and legacy migration initiatives
Experience with code modernization using AI tools such as Claude, CoPilot and Windsurf
