We are currently seeking a full-time Master Data & Operations Specialist to join our team!
Hybrid role, on-site requirement 3 days/week
Location - 165 Galaxy Blvd., Toronto ON (Pearson Airport Area)
The pay range for this role is: $70,000 - $110,000.
Placement within the range will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. The final offer will reflect the successful candidate's background and demonstrated capabilities.

Main Responsibilities
Master Data Governance & Ownership
- Serve as the business owner for Customer and Material Master data within SAP.
- Maintain master data governance processes throughout the data lifecycle, including creation, modification, and retirement.
- Ensure compliance with global data governance standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Support SAP S/4HANA and Master Data Governance (MDG) initiatives.
- Maintain appropriate documentation, controls, and standard operating procedures to support consistent and auditable master data processes.
Customer & Product Master Data Management
- Manage and maintain accurate customer, product, and material master data across business functions.
- Review, validate, and approve master data creation and change requests.
- Ensure master data supports purchasing, inventory, logistics, planning, sales, customer service, allocation management, and reporting processes.
- Support product launches, transfers, discontinuations, and acquisition integration activities.
- Proactively identify master data requirements associated with new products, customers, distribution channels, and changes to existing business processes.
Allocation Management & Supply Chain Execution
- Support the execution and ongoing management of the company’s product allocation program to ensure available inventory is distributed appropriately across customers and channels during periods of constrained supply.
- Maintain and update allocation tables, customer allocation parameters, product restrictions, and related system data in accordance with approved business rules and allocation strategies.
- Partner with Supply Chain, Customer Service, Commercial Operations, and other stakeholders to translate inventory availability, demand, contractual requirements, and approved business priorities into executable allocation plans.
- Perform regular validation and reconciliation of allocation data to ensure alignment between approved allocation plans, customer orders, SAP, and available inventory.
- Monitor allocation performance and inventory utilization, identify exceptions and potential customer impacts, and escalate issues requiring business decisions.
- Support allocation changes associated with product shortages, supply constraints, product launches, supply recoveries, discontinuations, and other changes in product availability.
- Develop and maintain reporting and KPIs that provide visibility to allocation execution, utilization, exceptions, and customer impacts.
- Identify opportunities to improve and automate allocation processes, reporting, controls, and documentation.
- Ensure allocation processes are documented, repeatable, auditable, and supported by appropriate governance and internal controls.
Data Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor data quality, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and track data quality metrics and governance KPIs.
- Lead data cleansing and remediation initiatives to improve data accuracy and consistency.
- Analyze operational and master data to identify recurring issues, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
- Drive continuous improvement and process automation opportunities across master data, allocation management, and related Supply Chain and Customer Service processes.
- Support the development of sustainable processes and controls that reduce manual effort, operational risk, and customer impact.
GS1 & External Data Management
- Act as the primary liaison with GS1 Canada and external data synchronization platforms.
- Maintain product information required for GS1, ECCnet, and healthcare data repositories.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards related to product and customer data.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Customer Service, Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Commercial Operations, Finance, Marketing, and IT teams to ensure data integrity and effective execution of business processes.
- Provide guidance on the business and operational impact of master data changes.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to resolve data, system, allocation, and operational issues that may impact product availability or customer service.
- Support audits, regulatory inspections, and compliance reviews.
- Deliver training and support to stakeholders involved in master data management and related operational processes.
- Build effective working relationships across functions and act as a key point of coordination for assigned initiatives.
Project & Transformation Support
- Participate in enterprise master data governance initiatives, including ELEVATE and SAP S/4HANA transformation projects.
- Lead and support master data-related projects that improve governance, quality, and operational effectiveness.
- Lead or support cross-functional Supply Chain and Customer Service projects and other priority business initiatives as assigned.
- Support projects from initial problem definition and requirements gathering through implementation, stabilization, and transition to ongoing operations.
- Develop project plans, establish milestones and deliverables, coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, track actions and risks, and provide regular progress updates.
- Analyze business processes and operational data to identify root causes, improvement opportunities, and sustainable solutions.
- Support the implementation of new processes, systems, products, customers, distribution models, and other operational changes as required.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, process maps, procedures, work instructions, and other materials required to support successful implementation and ongoing execution.
- Act as a flexible project resource for priority initiatives requiring strong analytical, SAP, data management, and cross-functional coordination capabilities.
Key Accountabilities
- Accuracy and completeness of Customer and Material Master data.

- Timely and accurate processing of master data requests.

- Successful execution of ELEVATE/S4-HANA master data initiatives.
- Successful delivery of assigned Supply Chain, Customer Service, master data, and cross-functional improvement projects.
- Development of sustainable processes, controls, reporting, and documentation that reduce manual effort and operational risk.
- Reduction of master-data-related and allocation-related operational issues and customer impacts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Information Management, Logistics, Data Management, or related discipline.
- 3-5+ years of experience in SAP Master Data Management, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Commercial Operations, or related business processes.
- Experience maintaining Customer and Material Master data in SAP ERP/S4.
- Experience supporting inventory allocation, order management, inventory management, supply planning, or other supply-constrained business processes is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating or supporting cross-functional projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Experience working with GS1, ECCnet, healthcare product data, or regulated industries preferred.
- Experience with data governance, data quality management, or SAP MDG is an asset.
- Experience working in a pharmaceutical, healthcare, medical device, or other regulated environment is an asset.
