Who We Are

Join Fresh Prep - a dynamic leader revolutionizing how Canadians experience food through sustainable meal kit delivery. As one of Canada's fastest-growing companies and a certified B Corporation, we're committed to making it easier for people to eat well and live better.

We're proud to be recognized as a workplace where innovation meets impact. Our numerous accolades - including BC's Top Employers 2025, placement on The Globe and Mail's prestigious Canada's Top Growing Companies list and recognition as one of Deloitte’s Best Managed Companies - reflect our commitment to excellence in both customer experience and employee satisfaction. Our collaborative culture brings together passionate food lovers, sustainability champions, and tech innovators who are reshaping the future of food delivery.

Who You Are

Positive Attitude. You approach work in a cheery and optimistic way.
Reliable & Dependable. You like to see a job well done and will ensure that things are done the “right” way. You show up for all scheduled shifts on time and ready to work.
Collaborative Team Player. You are motivated by collaborative team task achievement and driving a results-oriented culture.
Open. You are open to constructive feedback, but aren’t afraid to let your opinions be known. You approach the problem at hand from a strategic and empathetic point of view.

What You’ll Be Doing

The key functions of this role are to offload the shipment from trucks, decant pallets onto racks, and expedite the loading process for Fresh Prep’s Delivery department. This individual will be responsible for:

Loading the truck with return bag pallets.
Safely operating warehouse equipment to offload and load the trucks.
Operate equipment in a safe manner, obeying all rules of the warehouse
Communicate effectively with the driver team and co-workers both verbally and in written form
Confirming racks that have been staged for drivers include all deliveries on their route
Using Fresh Prep’s delivery software and accurately following directions therein
Supporting drivers loading - ensuring idle time is kept to a minimum and that only those drivers whose racks are confirmed and staged are entering the loading area
Pallet organizing according to shipping manifests.

What We Are Looking For

High school diploma or GED
You can read and interpret Google Sheets and use email and other computer applications
You are confident communicating clearly with diverse individuals in a fast-paced environment
You have an ability to implement new processes or strategies in Logistics

You’re able to be flexible with timing, staying until the job is done - end times may vary depending on a variety of factors
Working experience in Driving, Order Picking, or Shipping and Receiving roles preferred. Experience operating pallet jack and/or forklift is an asset.
Able to communicate both verbally and in writing
Basic mathematical skills
Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently
Attention to detail in all areas of work
Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
Strong work ethic and positive team attitude

Manual dexterity required to use desktop computers and peripherals.
Overtime as required
Moving racks with materials on it and lifting up to 30-40 lbs will be required
Work is performed in a combination of environments and temperatures, both indoors and outdoors
This position may be exposed to elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes and oils

What You Can Expect

Hourly Wage: $22.00 per hour
Schedule of: 7:00AM - 5:00 PM Sundays, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM Mondays, 7:00 AM - 1:00 PM Wednesdays
An energetic, inclusive workplace where your voice matters and your contributions drive real impact
A culture that celebrates innovation, encourages professional development, and supports work-life balance

Fresh Prep is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE) and prohibits discrimination of any kind. We value diversity at our company and at all job levels our goal is to be diverse, inclusive and representative of the communities we operate in. We endeavour to recruit, develop and retain the best talent from a diverse candidate pool and truly believe that diversity, equity and inclusion among our team members is vital to our success as a company. We trust that in applying for a role with us you value this as well!

Research shows that while men apply to jobs when they meet an average of 60% of the criteria, women and other marginalized folks tend to only apply when they check every box. So if you think you have what it takes, but don’t necessarily meet every single point on the job description, please still get in touch. We’d love to have a chat and see if you could be a great fit.

At Fresh Prep, we work with a variety of ingredients, including common allergens like peanuts, tree nuts, and dairy. Whether you're in one of our corporate functions or within the production facility, you may be exposed to these ingredients. If you have concerns - especially around allergens or meat - please let us know during the hiring process.
