Role Description As a Pizza Maker at Freshslice Pizza Downtown Kamloops, you will work full time on-site at the Kamloops, BC location. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing dough, sauces, and toppings, assembling pizzas according to recipes and customer requests, and operating ovens and other kitchen equipment safely. You will ensure food quality, portion control, and adherence to food safety and hygiene standards, while keeping the preparation and service areas clean and organized. The role also involves taking customer orders, answering questions about menu items, and providing friendly, efficient service at the counter. You will collaborate with teammates to manage rush periods, restock ingredients, and maintain a smooth, efficient workflow throughout each shift.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Food Preparation and Cooking to accurately assemble and bake pizzas and related menu items.
- Candidates should possess Customer Service and Food & Beverage skills to serve guests professionally and handle orders and payments efficiently.
- Candidates should possess strong Communication skills to work effectively with team members and interact clearly and courteously with customers.
- Ability to follow food safety and hygiene standards, including safe handling of ingredients and cleaning procedures.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work in a fast-paced environment during peak hours.
- Previous experience in a restaurant or quick-service setting is an asset but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.
