Our Animation team oversees the core platform that animation technologies across AAA games are built upon. As part of our team, you will handle a variety of rewarding engineering challenges - from improving user workflows for content creators to optimizing real-time runtime performance. As a Senior Software Engineer in the Animation team, you will report to the Development Director in Animation. You’ll work on core animation systems that run in-game, as well as the tools and workflows used by content creators to build and author animation data.

This role is Hybrid remote/in-office.

You Will

Build performant systems and features across our runtime animation engine (C++) and content creator tools (C#).
Take ownership of animation features from technical design through to production, testing, and multi-platform support.
Improve tool and game runtime performance.
Partner with animators, technical artists, and game development teams to turn creative concepts into playable features.
Participate in design and code reviews, collaborating with the team to share knowledge and keep our codebase reliable and easy to work in.
Mentor junior engineers on the team to support their technical growth.

Qualifications

8+ years of professional software development experience
Strong professional programming skills to improve and debug C++ and C# code
Experience working with 3D math, including transforms, rotations, and coordinate systems.
Experience in game engine development
Performance and memory profiling
Experience with concurrent programming models
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience

Bonus Experience

Experience in animation state machines or real-time simulation
Experience with WPF / desktop UI development for asset pipelines and editor tools
Experience targeting console platforms (PlayStation, Xbox)
