Original job description

We're Looking for a Builder of Leaders, Not Just Projects

At FundyPros, we exist to build strong communities and connect people.

Every school, hospital, apartment building, office tower, and community space we help create becomes part of the places where people live, work, learn, and gather. Behind every project are relationships, trust, and great people working together toward something bigger than themselves.

With more than 350 employees across Atlantic Canada, FundyPros has become the region's leading specialty contractor in drywall, steel stud framing, ceilings, insulation, and firestop.

But we're not interested in simply being the biggest.

We aspire to become the benchmark specialty contractor in Canada - known for exceptional people, uncompromising standards, disciplined execution, and a culture where accountability and respect go hand in hand.

To help us get there, we're looking for an exceptional Regional Superintendent.

This Is Not a Traditional Superintendent Role

We're not looking for someone whose success is measured by how many projects they personally oversee.

We're looking for a leader who believes exceptional projects are the result of exceptional systems and exceptional people.

Someone who understands that predictable project outcomes begin long before the first wall is framed.

Someone who enjoys coaching Site Supervisors more than solving their problems for them.

Someone who believes planning is a discipline, quality is built into the work, and leadership is measured by the capability of the people you develop.

As Regional Superintendent, you will work closely with the Area Manager to strengthen operational excellence across the region by developing field leaders, improving management systems, and ensuring every project is positioned for success before work begins.

What You'll Own

Build Operational Excellence

Ensure consistent execution of the FundyPros Field Management System across all regional projects.
Standardize planning, quality, and operational practices.
Drive disciplined execution through clear expectations and measurable standards.
Identify systemic barriers to performance and lead continuous improvement initiatives.

Raise the Level of Field Leadership

Coach and develop Site Supervisors and Lead Hands into confident, capable leaders.
Provide regular feedback, mentoring, and performance coaching.
Build accountability while supporting professional growth.
Develop future field leaders through intentional succession planning.

Build Planning Excellence

Ensure every project begins with a complete, constructible, and executable plan.
Review and support pre-construction planning during the project transfer process.
Champion disciplined Three-Week Look-Ahead Planning.
Help Site Supervisors anticipate constraints, manage risk, and improve schedule reliability.

Champion Quality

Lead implementation of the FundyPros Quality Management System across the region.
Drive compliance to inspections, documentation, and quality processes.
Promote defect prevention over defect correction.
Use quality metrics and root cause analysis to improve project performance and reduce rework.

Drive Continuous Improvement

Use facts and data to evaluate operational performance.
Identify trends and opportunities to improve productivity, planning, and quality.
Support Lean Construction and continuous improvement initiatives.
Share lessons learned and best practices across projects.

Who Thrives Here

You believe:

Great projects are built by great leaders.
Planning prevents problems.
Quality should be built into the work - not inspected into it.
Coaching is more effective than directing.
Accountability and respect belong together.
Facts and data matter.
Leadership is about serving others.

You enjoy spending time in the field developing people, improving systems, and helping teams succeed.

You take pride in seeing others grow because of your leadership.

Experience

We're less concerned with titles and more interested in leadership, judgment, and the ability to build exceptional field teams.

Ideally, you'll bring:

10+ years of progressive construction experience
Significant experience leading large & complex construction projects
Demonstrated success developing and coaching field leaders.
Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, and operational execution.
Experience implementing quality management systems or standardized field processes.
The ability to analyze performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
Experience with Lean Construction, Lean Six Sigma, or similar operational excellence methodologies is considered an asset.

Why FundyPros?

Because we're serious about building something special.

We believe exceptional projects are built by exceptional people.

We believe operational excellence is created through disciplined systems, not heroic effort.

We believe our leaders exist to coach, develop, and serve others.

And we believe becoming Canada's best specialty contractor starts by building the strongest team in the industry.

If you're excited by the opportunity to shape how construction is led - not just how it's built - we'd love to talk!
