Original job description
This role works directly with Robert Safrata, a Vancouver-based entrepreneur who has been building and operating companies for over three decades. He has acquired 38 companies across three industries, founded Eaglequest Golf Centres, built Novex Courier into a recognized Canadian green delivery business, and grew West Coast Sightseeing from $4 million to $28 million sales in ten years.
He is currently focused on three ventures: Fuse Power, a clean energy company working in vehicle-to-grid technology; a new attractions operation at Queen Elizabeth Park in Vancouver; and a tour operator in Seattle.
This search is being managed by ClimateDoor on Robert's behalf.
About the RoleRobert is the visionary. He opens doors, builds relationships, and works one to five years ahead. What he needs is the person who holds everything else together. You run the systems, track the commitments, chase the follow-ups, and make sure what was agreed actually gets done. You aggregate the research, bring back the analysis with options and a recommendation, and then carry the decision forward.
What You'll Do- Build and hold the operating system: trackers, deadlines, meeting cadence, and follow-up
- Manage Robert's schedule and priorities to focus on relationships, vision, and decisions
- Chase commitments across the team and hold people to the dates they agreed to
- Research and compile information on live priorities, then return with the analysis, the options, and a recommendation
- Prepare Robert for meetings, submissions, and partner conversations
- Track progress across projects and commitments, flag risks before they become problems
- Report at the level that matters: the headline first, details as needed
- British Columbia base, within reasonable travel distance to Vancouver. This role is not fully remote.
- Experience supporting a founder, owner, or entrepreneurial leader at follow up.
- A track record of building systems that other people follow, and enforcing them.
- Business education (BCom, MBA, BCIT, or similar) paired with real operating experience
- Experience in a growth business or startup where you owned outcomes, not just tasks
- Fluency with modern tools and AI, used to multiply what one person can cover
- Clear, direct oral and written communication.
