Python Developer( 8+ years)
Fulltime with Altimetrik
Mississauga, Canada
Hybrid( 2-3 days in a week onsite)
Required Skills
- Strong Python development with solid object-oriented and functional design skills.
- Software engineering fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis.
- Data lineage / data flow analysis: parsing and analyzing source code (AST-based and pattern-based static analysis) and comfort reading multiple languages.
- Hands-on Gen AI/LLM experience: prompt design, tool/function calling, and agent orchestration.
- Understanding of retrieval-augmented generation and vector/semantic search concepts.
- Experience designing APIs and backend services, plus the front-end fundamentals to build usable interfaces.
- Pipeline and deployment experience: build/test automation, CI/CD, and releasing across environments.
- Data manipulation and transformation skills.

Responsibilities
Develop Python software and backend services, applying strong object-oriented and functional design principles. Analyze source code and data flows, and build or support AI-enabled solutions, APIs, interfaces, and deployment pipelines.
Requirements
Requires 8 or more years of Python development experience, strong software engineering fundamentals, and experience with source-code analysis and data transformation. Candidates should also have hands-on generative AI and LLM experience, understand retrieval-augmented generation and semantic search, and be familiar with APIs, front-end fundamentals, and CI/CD.
