FWS Group of Companies is a fully integrated design, engineering, construction, and maintenance services firm. We are advocates of the design-build approach to project development. Whether our clients are looking at greenfield construction or retrofitting an existing facility, we have the in-house expertise to take their project from vision to reality.

To add to this expertise, we are recruiting for a Crane Operator in Alberta, to join our collaborative and team focused organization.

As our Crane Operator, you will provide support to the department and Superintendent.

Position Overview

Responsible for safe methods of hoisting and rigging.
Accurately and effectively plan hoisting tasks on job sites.
Ability to proficiently read and understand all aspects of the crane manufacturers recommendations and load charts.
Agreement to do other meaningful tasks as assigned by the site supervisors when cranes are not being utilized.

Qualifications Needed

Appropriate level of experience as a Crane Operator. Journeyperson status is required.
Valid 1A or equivalent driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required.
Must be able to work a 21/7 work rotation with extended time away from home.
Ability to examine, diagnose, and adjust to various types of industrial and mechanical projects.

Responsibilities

Operate cranes using safe hoisting and rigging methods, and accurately plan hoisting tasks at job sites. Support the department and Superintendent, and perform other assigned site tasks when cranes are not in use.

Requirements

Candidates must have appropriate crane operating experience and journeyperson status, along with a valid 1A or equivalent driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
