As a Welder, you will provide support to the department and Superintendent.
Position Overview
- Responsible for welding, ironwork, or mechanical related tasks.
- Accurately and effectively uses various types of welding and cutting equipment.
- Responsible for safe use of equipment including forklift, skid steer loader, scissor lifts, and power tools.
- Reads and understands construction drawings, including providing accurate layout of the work and building to drawings and specifications.
- CWB certification in SMAW is required.
- Appropriate level of experience in welding or enrolled in an Apprenticeship Program.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required.
- Must be able to work a 14/7 work rotation with extended time away from home.
- Own and maintain basic trade tools.
- Pre-Access drug & alcohol testing might be required.

Responsibilities
Perform welding, ironwork, and mechanical-related tasks, using welding and cutting equipment accurately and effectively. Safely operate equipment and power tools, interpret construction drawings, and lay out and build work according to drawings and specifications.
Requirements
CWB certification in SMAW is required, along with relevant welding experience or enrollment in an apprenticeship program. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle, maintain basic trade tools, and be able to work a 14/7 rotation with extended time away from home.
