Location: Vancouver - Hybrid

Welcome to GAIN!

GAIN is a creative-led, insight-driven company that blends data, tech, and creativity. We believe the best ideas emerge where intelligence and creativity unite, where insight sparks imagination, and where innovation turns possibility into progress.

We are explorers of new frontiers, shaping bold strategies that move people, brands, and businesses forward. Individually and together, our specialist teams provide the vision, data, and confidence brands and organizations need to make braver, more impactful decisions.

Today as GAIN, we work as a united force, using data to fuel creativity, and technology to unlock new possibilities. As imagineers, we don't just embrace innovation - we engineer it; transforming information into action, and ideas into breakthroughs.

This is where rebel thinking, smart technology, and data-driven creativity shape the future.

The Role

As an Experimentation Consultant, you own the day-to-day experimentation program for your clients. You find where they are losing revenue, decide what to test, and turn results into recommendations they act on.

Externally, you will lead some accounts on your own and support the Sr. Experimentation Consultant on enterprise accounts within their portfolio. On every account, you are responsible for the execution and delivery of work for clients. You will be responsible for overall client success and satisfaction through proactive client communication, relationship management, expectation setting, and positive experiment and program results, by executing research, hypothesis ideation, prioritization, strategy, and analysis. You will be counted on to manage ongoing experimentation programs, including crafting and presenting intriguing stories and actionable recommendations through data and insights from experiments.

Internally, you will report to a Sr. Experimentation Consultant, who manages and coaches you. You will work with the account team, including Digital Programs, to deliver value to the client while maintaining profitability through internal innovation.

Responsibilities

Experimentation Strategy & Technical Expertise

  • Overall client success, satisfaction, and retention through positive Experimentation results.
  • Research & interpret data, run statistical calculation, draw conclusions, and pitch actionable strategies, results, and insights to a wide variety of client stakeholders and senior management.
  • In-depth technical understanding of Experimentation in order to create technically feasible experiments.
  • Present insights & results with engaging storytelling to executive stakeholders (remotely & in-person) in order to secure their assurance in Conversion.
  • Develop and plan experimentation roadmaps by analyzing large and detailed data sets in order to identify the biggest areas for improvement and implement strategies to capitalize on these opportunities.
  • Maintain an advanced understanding of conversion drivers including user research, data analytics, neuro-marketing, persuasion principles, and business context.

Account & Client Relationship Management

  • Maintain & continually increase understanding of the client's organizational goals for Experimentation within each engagement.
  • Working with Digital Programs team and Sr. Experimentation Consultant to build personal relationships with clients, becoming trusted partners in order to secure our expertise in all client needs.
  • Collaborating with Digital Programs and Sr. Experimentation Consultant in the planning and development of Executive Business Reviews, Insights, and Results.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships, review and obtain input at key stages, and make judgment calls on input to ensure continued alignment and transparency.
  • Help identify growth and expansion opportunities within client engagements.
  • Support the Digital Programs team and Sr Experimentation Consultant drive the account direction to ultimately ensure client success and account stability.

Requirements

  • 2+ years in experimentation, CRO, digital analytics or a strategy role where you owned analysis and recommendations end to end.
  • Hands-on experience analyzing A/B test results. You can explain significance, sample size and why a result might not be trustworthy.
  • Experience pulling and interpreting data in at least one analytics platform (such as GA4, Adobe Analytics or Amplitude) and one behavioural tool (such as Contentsquare, Clarity or Hotjar).
  • Clear, confident written and spoken communication with stakeholders at every level.
  • A track record of owning your work: you estimate your time well, check your own output and raise problems early.
  • Judgement. You form a point of view, back it with evidence and make good calls.
  • Curiosity. When a result moves, you want to know why, and you go and check.
  • You take feedback well. You act on it the first time and you're comfortable being wrong.
  • You can work without a playbook. You make progress when the path isn't clear.
  • You think commercially. You think about the client's business, not just the test.

Nice to have

  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript for scoping what a test can do.
  • Ecommerce or UX experience.
  • User research or survey experience.
  • Agency experience across several clients at once.
  • A degree in business, marketing, statistics or a related field, or equivalent experience.
