Job description:

Shift Supervisor – Game OVR

| Edmonton | Leadership + Customer Experience + Technology

Do you love working with people, solving problems, and being the person everyone can count on when things get busy?

Game OVR is looking for a Shift Supervisor to help lead our team and keep Canada's largest dedicated VR entertainment facilities running at its best.

This isn't a desk job. You'll be hands-on, working alongside our team, interacting with guests, solving problems, leading staff, and making sure every group that walks through our doors has an amazing experience.

If you're energetic, organized, confident leading a team, and enjoy working in a fast-moving environment where every day is a little different, we'd love to hear from you!

About Game OVR:

Game OVR is a family-owned entertainment venue and Canada's largest dedicated VR facility, with 33 headsets capable of operating simultaneously.

We're a place where families, kids, schools, birthday parties, corporate groups, and friends come together to have fun.

Our success comes down to our people.

We're looking for a leader who genuinely enjoys helping others, takes pride in their work, and wants to make a positive impact on both our guests and our team.

What You'll Do

As Shift Supervisor, you'll work closely with owners and management to help lead day-to-day operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and supporting our team during daily operations
  • Opening and closing the facility
  • Helping train and onboard new employees
  • Coaching team members and providing ongoing feedback
  • Ensuring guests receive friendly, professional, and exceptional service
  • Handling guest concerns and unexpected situations calmly and professionally
  • Maintaining high standards for cleanliness, organization, and equipment
  • Using our booking, communication, and operational systems
  • Completing administrative and operational tasks
  • Helping identify ways we can improve our operations and guest experience
  • Making decisions independently when the situation requires it
  • Representing Game OVR and our values both inside and outside the facility

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is a natural leader and genuinely enjoys working with people.

You don't necessarily need to have worked in VR before. We can teach you our technology and systems.

What matters most is that you:

  • Have previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience
  • Have strong customer service skills
  • Communicate clearly and confidently
  • Are comfortable giving direction and holding people accountable
  • Can stay calm and organized when things get busy
  • Are comfortable with computers and learning new technology
  • Take initiative and don't need to be told what to do every step of the way
  • Are reliable, responsible, and able to make good decisions
  • Are comfortable working with children, families, and groups
  • Enjoy a workplace where things can change quickly
  • Are willing to jump in and help wherever needed

Experience in entertainment, recreation, hospitality, retail, restaurants, events, or working with children is an asset.

What We Offer

  • A fun and unique work environment
  • A leadership role in one of Canada's largest VR entertainment facilities
  • The opportunity to work directly with the owners and management team
  • Hands-on experience in operations, leadership, entertainment, technology, and marketing
  • Opportunities to learn and take on additional responsibility
  • A close-knit team environment
  • Employee perks and opportunities to experience our VR games & experiences first
  • $17.50-$18.50/hour based on qualifications+ tips and bonus

availability required for evenings, weekends, morning shifts and some holidays.
