Ready to suit up as a Transport Security Guard

Looking to take your security career beyond traditional site-based security? This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in secure transportation and federal operations, where professionalism, situational awareness, communication, and sound decision-making are critical every day.

As a Transport Security Guard, you’ll be responsible for supporting the safe and secure transportation of individuals in a controlled environment. You’ll develop valuable experience in secure vehicle operations, escort procedures, communication, incident response, de-escalation, emergency procedures, and detailed report writing.

For candidates pursuing future careers in policing, border services, corrections, sheriffs, transit enforcement, or other public safety roles, this position provides an excellent opportunity to build relevant experience, strengthen your resume, and develop skills in a high-responsibility environment.

Responsibilities For Transport Security Guard

Safely transport and escort individuals between designated facilities and locations.
Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and security checks.
Search individuals, luggage, and vehicles in accordance with established procedures.
Transport and safeguard personal belongings, luggage, valuables, and other authorized property.
Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies, and changing situations during transportation.
Complete detailed logs, documentation, and incident reports.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and facility personnel.
Maintain vehicle cleanliness, security, and operational readiness.
Follow all established security, transportation, safety, and emergency procedures.
Ensure compliance with applicable transportation and highway safety requirements.
Maintain a professional and respectful approach in all interactions.
Perform other duties related to secure transportation and security operations as required.

Qualifications For Transport Security Guard

Valid BC Security Guard License
Valid First Aid Level 1 (OFA1) - an asset
Advanced Security Training (AST) – an asset
Must have resided in Canada for the past 5 years
Unrestricted Class 4 BC Drivers License
Clean Drivers Abstract
High school diploma or Canadian equivalent (proof of education required).
Able to pass Public Works Clearance and Vulnerable Sector Check
Strong communication and customer service skills

Responsibilities

Candidates must be able to pass Public Works Clearance and a Vulnerable Sector Check; First Aid Level 1 and Advanced Security Training are assets.
