We are currently seeking a Dispatcher to join our team in our Regina Terminal.
Summary
The Dispatcher is responsible for administering excellent customer service in a professional manner to drivers and customers.
The requirements of this job will primarily be evenings, Monday to Friday but may change based on demands of the business.
Duties And Responsibilities
Must have one to two years related experience.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced computerized office environment. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills to work within a team and have the ability to work unsupervised through portions of their shift.
Good communication and problem solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft office programs, and transport management software.
Physical Requirements
Some of the physical demands may include, but not be limited to: pro-longed sitting and using a computer throughout shift and telephone.
The ability to lift 50lbs, and operate a hand jack and be available to assist in the warehouse as required.

Duties And Responsibilities
- Provides friendly, positive and helpful service to all clients, customers and drivers
- Receive incoming calls from customers
- Plan, direct and redirect drivers as needed when breakdown or other issues arise
- Enter shipment information into the computer system accurately and efficiently
- Efficiently dispatch equipment
- Verify that all P&D calls are completed
- Communicate through email, phone and text with drivers
- Liaise with other Gardewine divisions and rural terminals with relevant information
- Prepare and file dispatch reports
- Participate in health and safety initiatives
- Track and report customer inquiries as required
- Assist in other areas within the department in the achievement of goals and objectives

Provide professional service to customers and drivers, receive customer calls, and dispatch and redirect drivers and equipment as needed. Enter shipment information, verify pickup and delivery calls are completed, coordinate with other terminals, prepare reports, and support safety and departmental initiatives.
Requirements
Requires one to two years of related experience, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced computerized office environment. Candidates should be proficient with Microsoft Office and transport management software, able to work independently and as part of a team, and able to meet the stated physical demands, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
