Original job description

Account Executive

Help Canada’s leading retailers make a lasting impression, one bag and one box at a time.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Location: 20 Tangiers Road, Toronto, ON (in-office, with client travel)

Compensation: $80,000 – $100,000 per year (combined base salary and commission)

Travel: All business travel expenses covered

This posting is for an existing vacancy.

About Us

For more than 100 years, Progress Luv2Pak has been Canada’s leader in premium retail packaging, helping some of the country’s best-known retailers and brands look their best.

Gather Packaging is our new, state-of-the-art factory in Toronto, producing high-quality paper shopping bags for top retailers across Canada and the U.S.

Together, we combine the trust of an established leader with the energy of a fast-growing manufacturer, and we are growing our sales team to match.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an Account Executive to grow with us. You will manage existing accounts alongside our Senior Account Executives and build your own territory from the ground up.

No two days are the same. One day you are presenting a new packaging idea to a major retailer; the next you are working with our design and production teams to bring it to life.

If you are a self-starter who likes owning your results, and you want a career rather than just a sales job, this is your opportunity.

What You’ll Do

Grow and support existing accounts using a consultative, value-based sales approach
Win new business: research new markets and industries, prospect, cold call, and run LinkedIn, email and direct mail campaigns
Partner with our Senior Account Executives on major corporate accounts, including projects that bring together the products of both companies
Own the full sales cycle: client presentations, information requests, quotations, product development and design, order processing, and handoff to our production, logistics, accounting and customer service teams
Lead client meetings as a packaging consultant, presenting ideas with confidence and negotiating terms
Keep your pipeline organized and up to date in NetSuite and Salesforce
Represent us at trade shows, industry events and client visits
Prepare annual sales plans and budgets, track your results and report regularly to management

What You Bring

3 to 5 years of experience in sales, account management or project management
Experience with retail, packaging, promotional products, logistics or related industries is an asset
A track record of winning new business or growing accounts
Strong communication, presentation and relationship-building skills
Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage several projects at once
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with CRM systems
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Design or a related field preferred
Able to work in-office at 20 Tangiers Road and travel to visit clients as needed

What We Offer

Annual compensation of $80,000 – $100,000, combining base salary and uncapped commission
All business travel expenses covered
Comprehensive health plan (medical, dental, vision, life and disability), starting after 3 months
Full product training and ongoing coaching from our Senior Account Executives
A team-focused, in-office culture where your ideas are heard
Room to grow with two industry-leading businesses in growth mode

Inclusion and Accessibility

Progress Luv2Pak and Gather Packaging welcome applicants from all backgrounds. Accommodations are available on request for candidates with disabilities at every stage of the hiring process. Please let us know how we can support you.

We thank all applicants for their interest. Only those selected for an interview will be contacted.

Please Note

The successful candidate will be required to complete a criminal background check after a conditional offer of employment.

Hiring Range: $80,000 to $100,000 per year in combined salary and commission-based annual compensation. A candidate’s experience and knowledge may be factored into the pay a candidate receives for this position. This position follows a salary-plus-commission structure for the first 12 months and will transition to a commission-based compensation model thereafter.
