Job Description
The responsibilities are as follows:

- Familiarity with accounting and tax software (SAGE, QuickBooks, TaxPrep/Profile, CaseWare)
- Reviewing and preparing of Compilation Engagement files and T2 corporate tax returns – intermediate level files and above
- Understanding of corporate tax balances (CDA, RDTOH, GRIP etc.)
- Preparation of corporate or personal tax planning scenario calculations
- Reviewing and preparing of Canadian personal tax returns – intermediate level files and above
- Fulfills a variety of support and mentoring roles for clients and junior staff
- Prepare/review GST and other statutory returns for clients as required
- Assists with special projects as assigned by partners and senior managers
Qualifications:
- Approximately 3-5 years working in a public practice role
- CPA designation
- Great work ethic and ability to work in a team environment
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact professionally with both clients and colleagues
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- High attention to detail
Additional skills of a preferred candidate:
- Familiarity with accounting and tax software (SAGE, QuickBooks, TaxPrep, CaseWare)
- Corporate accounting or financial statement experience
- Corporate tax experience
- Personal tax experience
- Bookkeeping experience
